Maybe they just put random characters on different pages to spice it up a bit. I mean how likely is it that you'd find an error page that might have a little charm or something to make it not seem bland? So Nintendo can just add in a character cause I think they like spicing things up.

But we all know Wario is the spiciest character of them all.
