What are your favourite normal enemies in the series?

The Pirate Gooms and D.D.s from the early titles are very memorable to me. I also like that weird bird-bat-pig thing from 4, as well as the robotic bird. Looks pretty cool for an enemy that dies when Wario bumps into it!

I'm also very amused by some of the more generic enemies in the earlier titles. Mario doesn't fight turtles, he fights Koopas. Wario, though? He's fended off actual undead humans before.

Those Robobirds are interesting because they're only in hard and super hard mode. Always neat to see an enemy that flat out doesn't appear on lower difficulty levels.

And Scienstein probably counts in 3, though it'd be debatable in 4.

Men'onos are neat though. Also probably the only ghost enemies with pointed hoods I've seen in decades, thanks to a certain group of assholes ruining that design.

Yeah those assholes ruined a lot of things. A similar enemy in Mother 2 had to get changed because it's resemblance was also too similar. Though, probably for the best since they were actually a cult in that game.
 
Almost all of the enemies from Wario World are my favorites. Though out of all of them, my favorites are the mirror wizards from Mirror Mansion. I've always been a fan of that kind of mask, and the purple color scheme is great too.

Outside of Wario World, I love Vase-Based from Virtual Boy Wario Land because the name is funny.

They remind me of Phantos from Super Mario Bros 2. Would be funny if that's where the Black Jewel got the idea from...
