What's the future of the series?

As you know, the Wario series is in a pretty tough spot. The last new Wario Land game was back in 2008, the last WarioWare game underperformed on the Switch, and talk of any titles has been kept to rumours so far.

Heck, even a mobile game that could have been WarioWare related somehow isn't!

So, what do you see the future being? Are we getting a new Wario Land game announced soon? If so, who's going to make it?

And what's WarioWare's own future, now the Switch 2 has kinda moved away from most console gimmicks?

I wanted to say something among the lines of "we just gotta wait a bit more, its gonna come out sometime this year" but at this point I don't know, its been so long, I feel like Nintendo doesn't care about the franchise at this point. and if the new Wario land IS on development, then why didn't they announce it somewhere, I'm pretty sure it would've fit perfectly on the direct, no? anyway, it feels like they want to drop it suddenly so when it eventually comes out there's not as many people buying the game due to it not being announced and then Nintendo will have an excuse to not make a new Wario game
but that's just my theory what do you think guys...

Personally I'm not too worried. We might not get it right away, but I can't imagine they'll go the whole generation without a Wario Ware game that takes advantage of the new joycon mouse gimmick.
Wario Land is less certain but I have hope that they'll have seen games like Pizza Tower and Antonblast being a success and recognize that there is interest in it returning

I'm still holding out hope that the Metroid Dread team will be in charge of making a new Wario Land.

Of all the devs out there, they're the most qualified for the job, other than R&D1.
