Which Wario Land games have aged the best/worst?

Super Mario Bros 3. is already a hard game, but I just can't figure out how they expected players to finish this game in one take. Even without getting any Game Overs, it takes around 2 1/2 hours to complete it, which is ridiculously long for a game without save features. Of course, you can use the Warp Whistle, but good luck trying to find that thing on your own without any hints. LoZ had a save mode and was released two years before, so why not Super Mario Bros. 3?
I agree. Though If I have to take a guess. Battery Saves were far more expensive and not really commonplace back then (they were only really commonly used on action-adventure games and RPGs at the time), and considering Mario 3 using a much more advanced and expensive cart (at the time), they probably wanted to cut costs a bit.
