It's definitely interesting they went for a more ambient song for the last boss, given the more catchy and traditional songs the others got. It works, but I do agree a more 'epic' finale song could have gone well.

Yeah true. I completely forgot about the bosses. They are for the most part amazing. I especially love the final boss (wish it had a bit more music though).
That's kinda what I meant there. It has some of the feel of Wario Land 4, but lacks the originality in terms of level themes and mechanics.
I still stand by the bosses being pretty original though. A robot that holds up the roof is a novel...
