I would honestly find a WarioWare story suddenly featuring generative AI to be both quite immersion breaking, and a sad reminder of how far small devs have fallen in the real world. But naturally, not everyone will see this story that way. Again...
diggersby works but i wouldnt want to put both greedent and diggersby on the same team because theyre the same thing and betweeen the two greedent is just stronger
Just saw this message elsewhere and thought it was kinda interesting:
So, what do you think? Could that be an interesting premise for a WarioWare game?
It's Nintendo, they basically never use AI (I think they asked that company to take down the Galaxy Time marketing site for the Mario Galaxy Movie because it previously used AI for example)
This could definitely be a cool direction. Would really fit WarioWare's running bag of Wario being a greedy jerk and getting punished for it. As long as the assets of the microgames aren't actually AI.
One Wario-like Pokemon that came to my mind was Diggersby, seeing as it's stated to be as strong as a excavator and has a similar-ish build. Skuntank is kind of perfect though, it even shares the color of his overalls.
Nintendo was okay with making Daisy playable in Wonder, so it looks like they are easing up on the idea of letting certain characters appear in the platformers.
Mona is the one I most want playable. Maybe Captain Syrup can be an unlockable...
