    I think it might be an early sprite, but downscaled slightly so it would fit the tile. They probably didn't feel like replacing it, or just kind of didn't notice, so it remained. That would be my guess.

    Yeah, it was funny at the time, but I would not recommend doing it. I'm a fucking idiot, so it comes naturally for me to do extremely stupid shit on the occasion.
