Puyo Puyo

Indeed. Just out of curiosity, do you write fics as well or have you at least ever considered it?

Honestly? I have considered it. Not just with Puyo Puyo, but with other series as well.

Yeah, seeing how she would interact with characters beyond Arle could be a great way to finally explore her character more, her flavor text in Quest does somewhat try to delve into that, even implying that she is actually quite amiable towards those she trusts, but just a few lines can only establish so much, especially without a story around it.

When you say "amiable", do you mean that she doesn't hold any real grudge against anyone but Arle, or that she's surprisingly sweet around anyone that isn't Arle? Also, there are people she trusts??

I mean, I always had the headcanon that she was (shockingly) REALLY good friends with Ecolo, who would play with her and make her laugh, but I can't say I expected her to be trusting to anyone in the actual series. I don't suppose Quest ever goes into detail about WHO she trusts, does it?

Maybe I'm just remembering something wrong, but I could swear that the pop-star thing has been confirmed at some point, could just be me imagining things, but I can't think of anything else that would fit, for the same reasons you brought up.

To be honest, I think it was to line up with the fact that Asami Imai (Ringo's voice actress) is a J-Pop singer herself. As a matter of fact, wasn't Puyo Puyo 7 was supposedly the start of the Puyo series getting J-Pop singers to promote the series' games? Not only that, but if I remember correctly, I think Imai just stared to make a career out of being a J-Pop singer only a couple of months before the release of Puyo Puyo 7 for that matter.

Excuse me for interrupting the titillating conversation, gentlemen, but I figured this was the best place to post these.

Forgive me for the horrible typesetting, for I am no typesetter at all.

So far nothing interesting really going on so far, just Arle and Schezo routing some Puyo.

Oh my gosh! I can actually READ this for once! Thank you, @The Big Magma! Please keep up the excellent work! Oh, and don't worry. The story DOES pick up in the next couple of pages. Speaking of the next pages, if it's not too much trouble, can I ask when the next batch of pages will be translated?

Honestly? I have considered it. Not just with Puyo Puyo, but with other series as well.
Ah okay, I was just curious, since I like to compare other people's writing styles to mine, to find inspiration on how to work on things that bug me about my writing.

I mean that she seems to be very pleasent towards people who aren't Arle, especially in comparison to Dark Arle, who's flavor text shows her to be very mischievous or Strange Klug, who makes it very clear that he has his own agenda and isn't interested in the goals of others.

The trusting part was more meant on a general level and not directed to a specific character, since the flavor text lines are essentially directed at the player:
CkbpdcRUgAEXoRi.jpg

It's kinda like the optional conversations from Puyo Puyo Fever 2, where the characters are pretty much talking to you, even if that doesn't always make sense.

At any rate, her lines do suggest that Doppel is open to work with others and to form a genuine allegiance, even if it doesn't aid her own goal.

To be honest, I think it was to line up with the fact that Asami Imai (Ringo's voice actress) is a J-Pop singer herself.
Ringo's tendency to break into song could be one big allusion to that, for that matter.

Oh, I understand.

So basically, she IS surprisingly sweet around anyone who ISN'T Arle? Well, I...suppose that makes sense. Still, I'll be honest, Doppel DID sort of strike me as the type to be somewhat...snippy, tense, and a smidge demanding around others.

Also, in the case of Dark Arle...well, let's not forget who is TRULY in control of THAT persona, and as for Strange Klug, he makes it VERY clear in Fever 2 that he'll do ANYTHING to restore his old body to its full potential again, even if it means MURDERING sweet little Sig in order to do it.

Oh, that makes sense. Honestly, there's only one line of Doppel's in Quest that I've read that was actually translated, which has her say the following:
"So, you think you can win? If I am victorious...you will do what I say!"
So, I took that to serve as her defining trait of being slightly...demanding, if not noting else.
At any rate, her lines do suggest that Doppel is open to work with others and to form a genuine allegiance, even if it doesn't aid her own goal.

Well, that's good. Honestly, I feel that it gives more character than she was shown with Yo~n. Long story short, it does look like Doppel is certainly willing to be friends with anyone outside of Arle. Still, I don't suppose you know any more of her lines in Quest?
Ringo's tendency to break into song could be one big allusion to that, for that matter.

It really seems to be the case. I mean, if you ask me, I'd say it's clever.

It's somewhat there, but only very mildly and I took it as rather lighthearted.

Exactly, the characters with their individual lines reflect their personalities well, it's part of why Doppel's seemingly nicer qualities are rather interesting.

Actually that line is from Yo~n and not Quest.

As for her lines she has twelve, spread across four levels and half of them are as Pierrot, so here they are:

Level 3 (Pierrot) :

"Was it you who called me?"
"Heh, so this is a quest... it's rather intriguing."
"This island has a lot of intriguing things. I want to reference them for the circus."

Level 4 (Pierrot) :
"Fufu... You wish to know my true identity?"
"This place wouldn't lose to a circus show. It's busy."
"If I return to my previous world, I'll invite you to my circus."

Level 5 (Doppel) :
"Fufufu... You look surprised, whatever happened?"
"Now... Take me to more fun places."
"I look like Arle? Well of course... Fufu"

Level 6 (Doppel) :
"Ahahaha, I'm having a great time."
"My relationship with Arle? Is it really alright for you to know?"
"It feels like I've become stronger. I have to thank you."

Again, there is really only so much that you can read out of such few lines, but it does indicate that she isn't really inherently antagonistic against anyone besides Arle, she is more teasing then she is bossy or otherwise unpleasent, honestly she is friendlier then a number of good guys.

So do I, I actually didn't make the connection until now.

@puyokid just be patient, okay?

This may sound rude, but I'm a busy person and you haven't exactly given me much incentive to make this a priority.

Whoops. Sorry. I wasn't trying to give off any vibe that I can't wait for this. I understand that there may be much more important things to for you to attend to. Believe you me, I can certainly wait. Again, I truly apologize. Honestly, I think I just got a little too excited that for once, I can actually read a page of this story in English.

It's somewhat there, but only very mildly and I took it as rather lighthearted.

Huh, weird. I took it as Doppel simply being bossy and whatnot.

Exactly, the characters with their individual lines reflect their personalities well, it's part of why Doppel's seemingly nicer qualities are rather interesting.

Yeah, I noticed that...

Wow, so there really is more to Doppel than just "stereotypical evil clone". Also, two things:

1) Is it me, or does Pierrot make it sound like SHE'S the true owner of the Puyo circus? Then again, it WOULD line up with a headcanon I had concerning the events of Puyo Puyo~n and Doppel being its true owner, simply using Satan as a mouthpiece...

2) You know, now that you mention it...it kind of IS ironic how Doppel actually does seem FRIENDLIER than a majority of the series' main cast (i.e. Rulue, Schezo, Raffine, Klug, Feli, Satan, etc.) You know what? Doppel actually seems to act like she at least has the potential to have her characterization be similar to Arle in Minna, but slightly more withdrawn compared to the real Arle.

So do I, I actually didn't make the connection until now.

I've thought about it for a while, but I never thought much abut it until we actually started talking about it.

1) I always assumed for that to be the case, considering that Satan spends almost the entire game brainwashed, not even conscious of what he is being used for.

2) Pretty much, make me wish that Doppel would at least show up in a story quest at some point, to further build on the traits that Quest is implying with her.

Yep, that just about sums up my headcanon about Doppel being the Puyo circus' true owner.

Funny thing is, I almost feel like a big story event in Quest would actually serve to flesh out Doppel's personality than a main console Puyo game.

BTW, for those who don't know, PPT's English demo has finally been released over here in the West! If no one minds, I'd like to vent my opinion on the English voices. I'd like to mention now, my opinions on them don't mean I'm not getting the game, I just want to get them out now is all.

Arle - Sounds about what I always pictured. I'll probably have to hear her in Story Mode to give a solid opinion once and for all.

Amitie - Sort of wish she didn't sound so high-pitched, but I can bear it.

Ringo - Kind of feel like she should have a bit more of a slight 'know-it-all' inflection to her voice, but otherwise she's OK too.

Carbuncle - Sounds...unsettingly similar to his English voice in Fever, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't sound like he's saying "Ta-Da!!" (THANK GOD...)

Rulue - Maybe it's just me, but....she sounds...YOUNGER than I'd expect. But I suppose I haven't exactly heard enough of her to say for sure. For now, I'll just chalk it up to "Her voice works for her."

Suketoudara - I'll be honest, I never really had much of an expectation for him. Well, I suppose I always imagined him sounding like King Dedede from the English dub of the Kirby anime without the Southern accent. I'll have to hear more of him to give a final opinion, but I suppose I kind of like what I'm hearing so far.

Raffine - Honestly, I don't really know what else to say, except...her voice overall fits perfectly. It's close to what I always imagined at least.

Sig - Honestly, I WAS a bit on the fence about Sig, but I think I can live with this. It sort of helps that Sig is (most likely) voiced by Ben Diskin, who I know as Numbah 1 and Numbah 2 from Cartoon Network's Codename: Kids Next Door. Obviously, this is personal preference talking for me, but you know...

Klug - Ooooohhhhh....KLUG. Just....wow. All I'll say is this: Just.......LISTEN to his voice clips. Certainly NOTHING like what I expected. One thing's for sure, don't expect to see me touch or even play against Klug often. Maybe once in a while, but never often. It's like SEGA turned him into a straight-up mad scientist, and cranked that stuff up to 11, if not 12! I suppose if it's any consolation, his voice INSTANTLY makes me think of Scratch from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, so I guess that's funny to think about.

Risukuma - Surprisingly, I...actually DON'T have much to say. Similar to Raffine, he sounds almost EXACTLY like what I imagined. Honestly, I can't WAIT to hear more of him and his hamminess.

Maguro - Wow.....so I'm going to be honest, Maguro sounds......WAY different than what I predicted. For reference, I more or less expected Maguro to be voiced by Roger Craig Smith, a.k.a. the current Sonic the Hedgehog. That being said, instead of sounding all cool, suave, and OLDER like I expected, he sounds like...well, a bit of a pre-teen dork. I feel like it'll maybe grow on me if I hear him in Story Mode...

Tee - Hmm...I'll...need to hear more, but I suppose it works for the time being.

O - I'll need to hear more, but it sounds all right, I suppose.

Ess - Eh, sounds about what I expected for the most part. I imagine her brattiness will really "shine", come Story Mode.

Ai - He sounds pretty all right. Maybe it's just me, but is he using a British accent? I don't know why, but I'd find that as a very pleasant surprise.

Jay and Elle - Eh...don't have much of an opinion. They sound about what I expected. Troublesome twins who talk in unison.

Zed - He sounds about right. Funny thing, but his voice makes me think of Captain America in the first two Marvel vs. Capcom games.

I got to hear some more of Puyo Tetris's English voices, or rather, got a good listen. Tried to avoid too much info, since I kinda wanted it to be a surprise, but I guess there was no more resisting.

And I think some of these voices are gonna take some getting used to, but it seems like a mixed bag. And this is coming out of someone who thinks Puyo Pop Fever's dub was hilarious.

It seems to be a mix of genuinely good performances (Amitie's new voice actress is fantastic), Sig's poor voice acting and...a really scratchy Klug. Like, with Klug, I think I prefer his Puyo Pop Fever voice; this sounds completely different and not in a good way.

Say what you will about Puyo Pop Fever's dub, but I felt it was more consistent in its hilarious quality. Though who knows, maybe the lesser performances will grow on me? It's happened before.

But I'll still buy the game and experience it for myself. I have it pre-ordered, and a simple thing called voice acting has never deterred me before.

Okay never mind, I was expecting a visitor, but something came between, so we had to delay it, meaning I had the time to look for footage myself.

Arle, Rulue and Ringo are all in the same ballpark for me, in the sense that they are fine voices, but I can't help but find them to be a bit....plain(?) not sure how to describe it, perhaps they might sound less so in story mode.

I don't mind Amitie being high-pitched, I just hope that her high chain voice clips aren't as annoyingly squicky as they tend to be in the japanese originals.

Sig is fine, sure it's very different from the original, but I like it, he get's his attitude right and that's what matters to me the most.

Risukuma, I and Raffine are all excellent, J,L,S,O,Z and Suketoudara also have fitting voices.

I was already alarmed that Klug's voice might be rather.....special, thanks to the comments here and yet it still caught me off guard. With that said I was laughing myself stupid when I heard him talk, it's an awful choice for a Klug voice, but I honestly love it in a so bad it's good kind of way.

Now I'm imagening how Strange Klug would sound like if he shared the same actor...and now I'm laughing again.

T's voice sounds a bit too old for my liking, but it's not bad.

With Maguro I can pretty much echo puyokid's thoughts, though the voice might have a charm of it's own, gotta wait for his 30 seconds of story mode screentime to say for sure.

So far I'm pretty happy with the dub, not everything is ideal, but I can really get down with it, for the most part.

So, I've been taking a bit more time to watch some videos over again, and I've started to change my opinion on the characters, so here it is:

Arle - Cute and plucky, with a teenage inflection to her voice. I think this'll work after all. Kind of wish there was something to help distinguish her voice from a few others characters, but I'm officially cool with her voice now.

Amitie - Still sort of wish she didn't sound so high-pitched, but once again, I can still bear it.

Ringo - Still sort of needs that slight 'know-it-all' inflection to her voice, but otherwise I'm liking it now. As a matter of fact, I feel like her voice actually sort of compliments Maguro's voice, who I'll get to in a bit.

Carbuncle - Still sounds...unusually similar to his English voice in Fever, but if I'm being honest? I'm actually starting to find it HILARIOUS now that Carbuncle has such an unfittingly deep voice.

Rulue - Still sounds a bit...YOUNGER than I'd expect. Otherwise, she sounds pretty all right. Also, "EXPLODING KNEE!!" Man, I love that!

Suketoudara - Listening to him more, I'm starting to LOVE the voice they gave him. As a matter of fact, his voice actually DOES remind me of King Dedede from the English dub of the Kirby anime without the Southern accent!

Raffine - Again...her voice pretty much fits perfectly overall. It's still close to what I always imagined Raffine would sound like in English.

Sig - As of now, I think I can safely say I'm completely cool with Sig. Again, forgive me for the bias, but it sort of helps me that Sig is (most likely) voiced by Ben Diskin, who I know as Numbah 1 and Numbah 2 from Cartoon Network's Codename: Kids Next Door. Again, personal preference talking...

Klug - Yeeeaaahh....I still don't expect to touch or even play against Klug often. Honestly, I get a young Dr. Eggman vibe out of him. BTW, you may remember that I said Klug's voice reminded of Scratch from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, but on second thought, I think he sounds more like Scrappy Doo than anything else. So you know...still hilarious.

Risukuma - Again, don't have much to say. Similar to Raffine, he sounds almost EXACTLY like what I imagined. Really can't WAIT to hear more of him and his hamminess. Also, I'd like to mention that I'm glad the English version is using a variation of his "I Love You" spell theme. Sadly, this probably means that the "Pedobear" memes won't as be rampant...

Maguro - Maguro still sounds...different than what I expected. I still wish Maguro would have been voiced by Roger Craig Smith, a.k.a. the current Sonic the Hedgehog, but it doesn't look to be the case. I just feel like I can see him have that whole "cool, suave, and older teen" voice. All this being said however, I'm actually starting to enjoy the "dorky pre-teen nice guy" voice SEGA went with. As a matter of fact, it sounds like Maguro was voiced by Jason Marsden, and honestly, I REALLY hope that's the case.

Tee - I feel like he sounds a little TOO old. Honestly, Tee sounds like what I picture LAGNUS to sound like, if Chronicles ever gets an English dub. That being said, I can live with his voice being this way. I think I'll enjoy him in Story Mode.

O - His cute nature IS emphasized pretty well, so I understand the direction they went with him. Overall, he still sounds like I what I expected.

Ess - Still sounds about what I expected for the most part. Sounds a bit..."typical" for the whole "sweet and sour" archetype now that I hear her again, but it's not a big issue. I imagine her brattiness will really "shine", come Story Mode.

Ai - Still sounds pretty all right. Also, I think that IS a British accent he's using! I still don't know why, but because of that, I'm looking forward to hearing him in Story Mode..

Jay and Elle - Still sound about what I expected. Troublesome twins who talk in unison. Although, I DO enjoy their spell theme and I feel like I'll enjoy them more in Story Mode

Zed - Still sounds about what I expected. BTW, after hearing him over again, his voice makes me think of WAR MACHINE, not Captain America in the first two Marvel vs. Capcom games.

Been listening into the voices a bit more myself, gotta say that T is already starting to grow on me, it actually sounds pretty cool in some quotes and Klug is still hillarious to me, again it doesn't fit at all, but it's just so out of left field that it makes me laugh every time.

I need to hear Carbuncle more before I can say anything definete, it does sound a fair bit like his Fever voice, but from what little I heard it already sounds better, then again I'm also admittingly biased against that one, because I find it so grating.

On a site note, the PPT x Puyo Quest collab will enter it's second stage soon:

Last time we got PPT Satan, now it's PPT Amitie and Sig (next to the PPT charas), nothing uberly spectacular, but I'm very happy with this, since PPT had my favorite Sig outfit.

On another (personal) sitenote, I actually got the first submission for my blog today. It might sound odd, but I find it very flatterring that me and my likes are becoming well known enough on Tumblr for someone to send me something, especially since I see myself as only a small fish in the pond.

Yeah, Tee really does grow on you after hearing him enough times (I still feel that Tee's voice actor should totally voice Lagnus, come Chronicles' English dub hopefully) and as for Klug, his voice really IS hilarious in a "so bad, it's good" kind of way. When you REALLY listen to it he DOES sound like Scrappy-Doo, with NO good intentions. Again, I don't expect to play as Klug often but still...

Still, the fact that Carbuncle even HAS such a baritone voice to begin with is hilarious in and of itself! I'll be honest though, I sort of expected SEGA to do to Carbuncle what Nintendo usually does with Pikachu. Specifically, reuse the JP voice clips rather than get a completely new voice actor.

Oh, cool! BTW, two things:

1) Who's left? I mean in terms of characters from PPT to be added?

2) Arle and Ringo had their PPT incarnations added to Quest as special characters LOOONG before now, right? Or was it just Arle?

It would be a good fit ,also after seeing more videos I gotta say that Rulue is also starting to sound better for me and J and L are now up there with Risukuma,I and Raffine as some of my favorite dub voices so far, which makes me personally very happy, since I love the two lil' pranksters.

I do wonder what the thought process behind this casting choice was, especially his ''Planet Power!'' voice clip sounds disgustingly similar to Scrappy, I still find it hysterical, but that doesn't make it any less questionable.

2) Both have been around for years now, in fact download codes for them were included in retail copies of PPT as a bonus, not sure which version got who though.

I guess so, it's just that submissions haven't been a thing so far, which is normal for a blog that doesn't have a singular focus, so it still feels pretty big, even if objectively really isn't.

The fact that it just had to be something Arle x Sig related is also a big factor, it might be hard to believe nowadays, but when I started my blog back in December of 2015, I was actually really afraid whenever I showed any liking for it and posts for it were faaaar rarer, so something like this happening actually really does mean quite a lot to me, as dorky and exaggerated as that might sound.

Same here. Personally, I've loved Rulue's English VA. I think it fits her to a T (Heh), but the only real gripe I've currently got with her is that...well, considering what VERY little (admittedly) I've heard of Draco and Witch, I hope they don't make Draco and Witch sound OLDER than Rulue, as that's what it's looking like like right now.

Not to say I won't play as them, as they're in my Top 10 of favorite Puyo characters, it's just going to feel weird hearing them sound OLDER than Rulue of all people.

I do wonder what the thought process behind this casting choice was, especially his ''Planet Power!'' voice clip sounds disgustingly similar to Scrappy, I still find it hysterical, but that doesn't make it any less questionable.

I seriously feel like it WAS intentional to make Klug "The Scrappy" of Puyo Puyo. Insufferable a**hole kid genius? I mean, Klug CAN be described as this, but this is just insulting to the poor genius! XD

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be all that surprised if SEGA didn't add ALL of the PuyoTet incarnations of the Puyo cast and to be fair, Rafisol CAN be considered a fairly BIG walking spoiler for Chronicles, and Ally was added to Quest BEFORE Chronicles' release... Of course, I DID notice Onion Pixy and Dongurigaeru DON'T have their Chronicles incarnations added to the game...

2) Both have been around for years now, in fact download codes for them were included in retail copies of PPT as a bonus, not sure which version got who though.

Oh, OK. Thanks! I checked the PuyoNexus wiki, and it's true. Arle and Ringo DID have their PuyoTet incarnations added to Quest during PPT's release.

Oh, I see. Still, congrats on getting a submission whatsoever, especially relating to an unlikely pairing like Arle x Sig. Not trying to offend you or anything of the sort.

To a degree the ''Mad Scientist'' (as you called it) approach actually does work for Klug, considering how scatterbrained he can be, despite his intellect, but yah know, I doubt they had that on their minds during the casting process.

Which is exactly what I meant when I said that I'd only really expect her to be added once Chronicle's one year anniversary comes around, because I doubt spoilers will be a hindrance at that point.

No offense taken, I mean granted there are actually a surprising number of fans and fanworks of it out there, but that's on the japanese site of things, so I wasn't sure what to expect when joining Tumblr, but people have been really cool about it and I'm very thankful for that, I even came into contact with someone who I'm regulary chatting with and he not only enjoys it as well, but has even written some fics centering around it specifically for me, in fact, he was my inspiration to pick up writing again, so I owe him quite a lot.

Anyways, April 28th is gonna be the big day when Puyo Puyo Tetris hits Europe and I'm amusingly pumped to pick up my preorder of it day one, despite not even owning a Switch yet, because godammit, it's a localized Puyo release and I'll be assed if I didn't get it as soon as possible to outright yell as SEGA that there are people who want Puyo here.

Here's a video with all the english voices:

To say a bit about the new ones:

Schezo is still the one I'm very iffy on, it sounds older then I'd expect it to, especially since all of his japanese voices, while always mature, generally still have a youthful tone to them, which this one lacks, not gonna lie, it will take a while for me to get used to it.

Feli too sounds much older then she should, it really doesn't fit at all.

Draco's voice is great, another favorite for me and a million times better then her current japanese voice.

Satan's voice is pretty good, more menacing then I'd expect, but that could make his goofier moments all the more humerous.

I'm a bit one the fence when it comes to Witch, it works, but at the same time I'm used to her voice being higher then this, it sounds kinda old, though nowhere near to the extend of Feli.

Ecolo's voice works, then again I had no real idea of what I'd expect him to sound like.

X is another good, has an fittingly likable tone to it.

Lemres is....odd, nothing like what I would have expected him to sound like, that's for sure.

I actually wish Ringo's alt voice was her default one, sounds much better in my opinion.

Risukuma's alt voice makes him sound like he's chocking on something, it's amusing.

Schezo's alt voice is closer in tone to what I would have liked him to sound like, but the delivery of his lines is a tad too fabulous for me to want exactly that as his default voice, still amusing thought.

Alt O sounds pissed as all hell.

Alt T is another one that's closer in tone for what I expected him to sound like then his default one.

Alt Maguro sounds like a dork that is trying to sound suave and I love it.

No real opinion on Alt Amitie, I, S, Rulue, Raffine, X or Feli, they just kind of are.

You know, Alt Klug actually sounds unironically decent, rather then so bad it's good, perhaps they should have swapped the voices around.

Alt Sig isn't uberly different from his regular voice (he just has more of an attitude), which means I like it, it's certainly better then his japanese Alt voice.

Alt Draco sounds adorable as hell.

Alt Z sounds pretty similar to the default japanese voice, not bad.

Alt J and L sound like they took cues from Sig.

Alt Arle is pretty good, not much to say.

Alt Suketoudara is smooth as all hell.

Fabulousness, thy name is Alt Satan.

Kinda wish Alt Witch was the default voice, sounds very much how I imagined an english Witch to be like.

Alt Ecolo fits really well, apart from the fast talking.

Alt Lemres is hysterical in his delivery (piece of caaaake!1!), I already know which voice I'll be using.

Feli sounds like a bored teenager who just wants to leave and be somewhere else. I do kinda wish her alt voice was her default voice; it still sounds too old for her, though. Still, I can't help but find default Feli to be the so bad it's amusing one.

Alt Amitie...doesn't sound as good as her default voice. Something just feel horribly...off about it. I'm gonna stick to her default voice.

Alt Klug sounds...okay, I guess.

Both Sigs sound awful to me.

Rulue...almost sounds like what I imagined her to sound like. Almost.

Alt Arle is less generic to me, though still kinda iffy on it.

Alt Maguro...it's beautiful, love it.

In other words...still kinda finding this dub a mixed bag of "excellent, so bad it's good, terrible, and meh."

I'm still pretty happy with the dub all around and since the match voice clips are the ones that you are going to hear the most I feell comfortable to rank them :

Default voices:

Favorites :
Draco
J & L
Raffine
Risukuma
I
Suketoudara
Sig

Good :
X
Ecolo
S
T
Rulue
Satan
Maguro
Amitie
Z
O

Alright :
Arle
Carbuncle
Ringo

Iffy :
Witch
Lemres
Schezo

Miss :
Feli

So bad it's funny:
Klug

Alt Voices :

Could have been default :
Klug
Schezo (with different delivery)
Witch
T
Ringo

Funny:
Lemres
Satan
Risukuma
Maguro

Otherwise good/interesting:
Draco
Sig
Suketoudara
J & L
Z
Ecolo
Arle
O

No strong feelings either way:
Rulue
Amitie
Raffine
Feli
S
I
X

Sig and Amitie are starting to come around even more for me as well, with Sig I just find it refreshing to have a voice that doesn't try to overly emphasize the cutesy aspects of his voice, like 20th and Chronicle do at times and Amitie is someone who in my opinion can generally be quite annoying at times in the japanese version, so I actually consider the english voice to be an improvement.
