Do you have any pet peeves?

Sometimes I wonder if twitter intentionally puts gif the responses as the top responses to popular tweets.

Ill often look at the replies to popular tweets, and have to go through a ton of gif responses with like 1-2 likes before actually getting to the real responses with likes/retweets/responses.
I liked them at first since it felt like a more elaborate way of showing your reaction to something. But now that they're built into websites and apps they're overused and meaningless now.

They're as meaningful as reacting to stuff with a string of random emoji.

"this was my childhood", plus the optional emoji, ";_;", or anything else that would make me roll my eyes clean out my skull. GOD I hate that garbage. Nostalgia-induced sensationalism is also the worst. When people say that something, anything, is the bla bla bla "of all time" I immediately think less of their position's validity, especially since you seem to only ever hear it be used in reference to something the person uttering it feels nostalgia towards. Like, I'm reminded of that "Why the X-Men Theme is Even Better Than You Remember" video in particular, how the host acts like it's the goddamn trumpets heralding the Rapture, like just-- just.
legend of zelda ocarina of time, one of thHe BESsts VIDYa gaemAs oFa alLL TIME : )))))

some stupid fuck said:
The My favoarite video game ever it was my childhoode, ah the good old days :cry::cry:......
fuck you

So what if I'm being misanthropic? SURE, I have nostalgia for plenty of things! Tak 2: the Staff of Dreams! dope game. The Black Hole! shitty from an objective standpoint but goddammit I like it anyway. And the cinematography's phenomenal, i noticed recently, like have you seen that shit negro, every shot is just *mwah*
but you don't see me going about calling anything the fuckety fuck of all time like it's a goddamn tome written by jesus christ, like it was his massive gift to mankind. NOTHING IS THAT GOOD, BY THIS CRITERIA EVERYTHING IS SHIT, FUCK YOU

tl;dr: if you say that anything, including stuff that you love and especially that you have nostalgia for, is the blabla "of all time" you are an invalid. OOH, THAT GRILLED CHEESE I HAD LAST THURSDAY, THAT WAS THE BEST BEST BEST SANDWICH OF ALL TIME.

FUCK, I just see this shit everywhere I go and it pisses me right the hell off, especially because no one ever talks about it beyond "oh, rose-colored glasses" thing, like, are we seeing the same thing?? I don't think anywhere near the number of people realize how bad the situation is, this fucking mental plague of the human mind's own creation because it longs for the days when it didn't have to worry about its next check possibly bouncing? Don't get me wrong, all forms of nostalgia, real or perceived, that shit's powerful stuff, but even still, "The X-Men Intro Is So Good That It Can Literally Cure Cancer and Heal Leprosy *smacks lips fervently*" Like, Oh my God, you're kidding-- this song sounds nice but it's not about to restore a woman's fertility or rub mud on a blind man's eyelids! If there's one thing that I hate about millennials it's that.

This shit is like an angry GRR written in thirty foot letters know wha'm sayin'?
Sorry if I'm putting forth offputting levels of angry vibes-- like, to be real I fuckin' hate this shit but hyperbole for comedy's sake is always fun to do.

Stuff like this on Wiki projects:

Shantae has olive/tan-skin with blue eyes, and long growing purple hair tied back in a ponytail stem stalk. She has a slim yet curvaceous figure, possessing plump jiggly breasts, and a set of considerably large buttocks. Her parentage is

And believe me, you don't want to see the edit history.
This happens on every Wiki page about female video game characters.
Just stop.

"Wario is depicted with light or tan skin and possesses a plump and pleasing body colloquially referred to as "thicc" with a very excellent set of a appendages that are kept in great shape which compliments his pink phallic nose underlined with a distinct zig zag mustache which all show the masculinity of his character...."

This is a thing I found on Third Wah's Real Wario Compendium, I just hate how objectified some characters are.

Sometimes I think wiki writers are all just a bunch of oversexed nerds with fetishes that are beyond the comprehension of any normal individual.

These people should write for the scary god mother wiki.

Speaking of which; what the hell is the appeal of the foot fetish anyway? I mean, I'm a fan of the human_to_anthro tag because my werewolf fascination mutated, so I'm not one to talk, but I just don't quite understand.

Yeah, I don't understand the foot fetish either. Feet are often stinky and callous; not really a turn on. Not for me at least.
I think it is related to the crush and sit-on-face fetish somehow, but I don't understand these either.

People who have their phone's keyboard sounds all the way up.
In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, "I imagine it'd sound something like "TIIICK, TOOOCK, TIIIIICK TOCK."

though the quote's relevance is more so because it's loud than because it's heavy, to clarify, although those ticks can sound pretty similar to what you'd call "heavy" when set really loud.

The damn near sociopathic attitudes towards the 'other side' on sites like Twitter. I mean, I just saw a story on there of some coal company president getting killed in a helicopter crash or something, and about three quarters of the comments were fanatical left wingers/environmentalists cheering.

Do these people act like this offline too?

Speaking of twitter, something thats been bothering me lately is how someone who was a friend can unfriend you because you disagree on some issue with them.

I dont think Ive ever stopped being someones friend due to disagreeing on some issue. But Ive had multiple people who lost touch with me when they found out I disagreed with them on something.

While its been more common with people who lean left for me, it hasnt been exclusive. I recently lost contact with someone online who leaned right as well. Was bummed about it

I dont think this os exclusive to the internet either. Have seen other peoples thoughts on another person completely change after learning about some opinion they held.

Its crazy how people think that opinions are so important to them that they cant even be associated with someone who doesnt agree with them.

All. The. Bloody. Time. Only not as explicitly, because even they are aware there's someting called 'decency'.
But that doesn't stop them from behaving like this. You can see it in television, in newspapers, etc.

It doesn't even surprise me anymore. Maybe I've seen too much.

Agree fully. I am passionate about debate and love to debate with my friends, but would never cease contact over differing opinions.

If I did, I'd have no friends.

Yeah, agreed. I've never stopped being anyone's friend due to a difference in opinions, and I believe it's kinda scary how many people seem to have that little tolerance for opposing views on various matters.

Good point. You definitely see this in media outlets, especially tabloid newspapers.

But I'm still surprised anyone would act like that in real life. Makes me want to actually call them out on it there, just because it seems no one else has in their lifetime.

Same. Also, I kinda worry about anyone whose friends do all agree with them on everything, because it means they're living in a blatant echo chamber.
