Where did the 'Plumber's Cave' song come from?

According to an old revision on The Cutting Room Floor Wiki, a vaguely Mario esque song was originally present on the official site for Wario Land: Shake It under the name 'Plumber's Cave':

I posted this song on my channel here, after seeing it on the wiki:

(it's also here: Wario Land - Wario Land: Shake It Plumber's Cave)

However, as someone found on Twitter, the song was never actually on the official site at all. And Tomoya Tomita himself doesn't remember ever composing it:

So, where did it actually come from? According to the file history it was posted by someone called Peardian, who I know for their custom sprites and models of Nintendo characters, but I don't recall them ever being a musician or hoaxer. So, it feels unlikely they'd have made it.

Who actually made this mysterious track?

This fascinated me enough to dig a little deeper, with how much it doesn't sound like a track Nintendo would ever approve of for any game, let alone Wario... but all I've found is a separate upload from around the same year (albeit some months later):
I assume the "TF2" in the title refers to the famous "mario_kart" map originally released circa 2007-2008; maybe it was used there? While nothing can be proved with just this info, it is much more plausible in my eyes to call this a fan remix of the SMB Underground theme by somebody so obscure, that it was able to be plucked from the internet's shelves and rebranded as Wario's missing music.
Pretty funny. Pretty funky too!

Oh, I think I may have found the original... original:

So someone on Newgrounds made a remix, which got posted on YouTube by someone else, then used in a Team Fortress 2 modpack and as part of a Wario Land: Shake It unused content hoax...

Wait a minute no way, Plumber's Cave was a hoax this whole time?!

https://tcrf.net/Notes:Wario_Land:_Shake_It! (The song names in the files)

Wario Land Shake It's escape themes have been in the wrong order; I put them back (A post I made about these file names and which songs have the right pairings)

With the fact that Foulwater Fall's escape theme also happens to share the SMB1 underground motif, the fact that the file name unusually doesn't pair with it's escape theme, AND the fact Shake It's songs are all jumbled up, it totally gives the impression that the song was cut content, what an insane twist that all of this was just coincidental. I remember seeing some posts that came to the same conclussion of "this must be unused content!" just because of how plausible it seemed, and I believed it too

From my post from what tcrf said on the song file name page:

chance_wario (Foulwater Falls) - name seems to indicate that it is one of the first songs made for the game, possibly meant for something other than a level
R_Tee-20061031mix-16b441 (Foulwater Falls return) - October 31, 2006, the "R" likely returns for "return", but the "Tee" is unknown

I forgot to mention it but so many of these file names have "ret" in them for the return theme (unless if they've been reworked or something) but I think R_Tee could just be R_ テーマ (teema/theme). Also I find it interesting that the file names could've used kae for kaeru (to return, shoutouts to WL4 frog switch) but they went with ret instead probably because kaeru can mean to change as well, and they used that meaning for rollnratl's file name, whereas if they used both it would get confusing. Anyway I don't think Foulwater Falls and it's escape theme are related since there's lots of songs that already don't use the same motifs but it's really cool to find out there was a fake song all along and how well it disguised itself, I still can't believe it

One thing's been on my mind though, what's the sound effect at the start of the Plumber's Cave song from? I always thought it sounded familar but I could never put my finger on it, and always thought it sounded like it was from the Gameboy which would be appropriate for Wario Land
