I swear, I started working on my original game and somehow I already to lose the files after 2 days of work. Thankfully, I only did the physics so it's not like it's gonna take long to catch up but like... wow.... Better back this thing up next time before I lose actually meaningful progress.

Also, that's why I haven't posting art in my art thread recently. That's because I spent the last month drawing original characters and didn't feel like showing them now.

Also, also WarioWare: Computed! isn't really my priority anymore lol... Will I at least finish the demo because it's more than 75% done?.... Maybe? I kinda suck at time management so.....

If Wario existed irl, he'd be the type of guy to do these podcasts where they spew out the most ridiculous nonsense and lies imaginable to explain why shitty lifestyle is actually good.

Decided to retry Wario Land 3 and this time I didn't get lost this time (I have no idea how I used to get lost, this game is really easy). I can totally get why people love this game, I'm having a lot of fun with it... until the emulator crashed and didn't save anything. So I changed emulator. I'm using mGBA on N2DSXL if you are curious, I prefer playing GB games on it, playing handheld games on a big screen doesn't feel right to me.

Man, I was able to make GameMaker work on Linux before going on vacation but I doesn't want to work anymore and I don't have any WIndows partition on me, that may delay WarioWare: Computed!. At least, this gives me an excuse to focus on learning Godot. Gonna try to make the Greed Framework on that instead to learn it.

I've been wanting to change my username for a bit now so I did it now. I'll be Cirta now. You may still call me Nackles if you, it doesn't really matter. I'll add a Z at the end if the name is already taken much like I added a K to Nackles when the name was already taken.

Whoever was in charge of the sound design for Wario Land 4 and WarioWare 1 desereve a golden statue at their image. Those voice clips files come in freaking puzzles!

I got sidetracked while developing my game to make this crap in MSPaint and I don't regret it!

The next Wario Land game should be called Wario Land: Need for Greed.

Oh I just remembered that one day I started recoloring WL1 sprites for no real reason a while ago. I was gonna try and make some sort of Wario Land Engine to learn Godot but I dropped it. Didn't finish recoloring it as you can see... Feel free to use them I guess...




These were took from Spriters Resource as you can tell. The credits for the ripped sprites are already on the picture.

It's been a year since I signed up here. Really enjoyed this site despite the emptiness. This is also the site that introduced to forums so I'm glad I was able to come by!

I got a mic today as I want to try making videos on YT. Problem? I now realize that I hate my voice lol. I heard that's a common thing when you start out wow.... I'm gonna have to get used to it.

Ngl, I'm starting to feel less passionate abouy my fangame, I kinda wanna move on to something else. The thing I spent quite the bit of time on it and I'm relatively close to finishing the demo, so I don't wanna let all that effort go down the drain. I'll probably release a demo and move on to an other game, whether it'd be original or an other fangame.

I bought a New 2DS XL yesterday:

It's so much better than my Old regular sized 3DS. I could barely play with it without getting fed up by how much it hurt my hands. And don't get me started on the size of screen when you emulated SNES games.

Of course, this is gonna be the occasion for me to revisit Wario Land 4. I use open_agb_firm. It's awesome! Essentially turns your 3DS into a GBA.

So I randomly got recommended that one Japanese Mario OVA and decided to scroll upon it, I remember watching it once as kid a long time ago.


But I found something weird about it. See that dog that looks like a caterpillar:




Well it turns at the end, he's a Prince from the neighbor Flower Kingdom which got me wondered: Was this referenced in Mario Bros. Wonder? Because not only does is he also the Prince of Flower Kingdom, not only is the kingdom said to be close to the Mushroom Kingdom much like in Wonder but he also looks like Prince Florian. This either a really deep cut or this is just a massive coincidence.
