Anyone think the popularity of Ashley is a good thing for the fandom?

This is getting ridiculous. Can we please be less aggressive with each other over this? Cause at this rate, the topic is gonna get locked.

I think her popularity means she should AT LEAST be playable in a Smash Bros. Game.

I think it would be good mainly because then there would be no excuse for Wario's Moveset not to reference Wario Land. :V ((Look at the "list of changes I'd make" thread for a better idea.))

You mean the Mii Swordfighter Costume DLC?
 
That was pretty much last minute and sadly, Mii Swordfighter is usually regaurded as the worst of the 3 playable Mii classes from what's I remember.

It's how they're used. I wouldn't consider the character bad. In fact I'd prefer this character over Cloud anyday (Marth is my fave Cloud counterpick but if legal in tournaments I'd take the opportunity to try Swordfighter out granted the DLC is all on one Wii U/all the Wii Us).

The problem is that many people misuse Freedom of Speech and turn it quickly into Hate Speech. The german PEGIDA is the perfect example.

Also: This is a website and not a state/country. Every Website has it's rules being enforced by the admins. And i can kinda understand this. After all it just turned into a quarrel.

On Youtube are also various people that just simply say "Freedom of Speech" if someone get's banned. (While completely ignoring that the banned person is racist and does nothing but insult people)
They completely forget that it is a WEBSITE owned by a company and therefore the rules of the company.
 
There may be good things she does and bad things she does.
Its about how it effects the individual player so its a mixed bag.
I don't care whether Ashley is good or bad for the fanbase, same goes for the rest of the characters.
As long as someone enjoys the game and Ashley adds to the enjoyment great, if she/he doesn't but still likes the game, still great. People have their opinions about these characters and you can't change that. The popularity of the game is all you gotta know in the long run, Though i can see that Ashley's popularity does wield some impotance but it really isn't that big of a deal unless WW fans lose their shit if Ashley isn't included in the next game.

The question being asked wasn't in regards to how people feel about Ashley but whether or not her popularity would be a boon to the fandom in potentially getting people into Wario and so far it has not.
