Behind the developent of Wario Blast?

You either may have somehow find out about the GB game Wario Blast or have played it before...the real question that we wanted to get answered is: What is the story from changing Bomberman GB in Japan to Wario Blast for the Americas and Europe and why?

Still pretty odd since Bomberman is not too Japanese and had already had several games released overseas by that point.

Never knew Wario Blast was not released in Japan under the same name... That's news to me!
But I agree, Wario was becoming really popular, it was definitely meant to be for better sales.

Fat people and explosions always mesh well, I haven't seen alot of the boob tube but from what i have seen its a pattern, So maybe that was it? Sounds absolutely ridiculous i know. Blue's explanation was better though.

I think that someone at Nintendo thought a crossover was a good idea, but perhaps the Japanese version was already out?
