Thank god they kept most of the unique designs here. It's not perfect, but yeah, it's way better than expected.
Not surprised the bosses are mostly intact though. It would have been impossible to 'Mariofy' the likes of the Chuckolator. And hey, Cackletta's angry face is part of her battle gimmick, so of course that'd be kept in too.
I also kind of prefer them using Dr Toadley here. He's a less generic character than Psycho Kamek was, and arguably less confusingly named too. Same with the enemy additions like Chargin' Chucks in Bowser's Minions.
No problems there.
That said, I do wonder one thing. Have they changed up the boss patterns at all?
Cause as great as Superstar Saga is, it's also really, really easy on the boss front. 98% of bosses (read, everything bar the final boss) has like two attacks at most. So if they could change that up a little (like say, by adding a few extra boss attacks when their health gets lower), it'd help a lot.
Either way, the game looks good.
