I'm just talking from my perspective, it's not one of the first things I think of, when I think of Puyo, but I do get a lot of enjoyment out of it, I wouldn't have made a Arlsig blog or been so damn happy over a Sig/Doppel pic if ships weren't a rather notable part of my Puyo fandom after all.
Well, as I always say, each to their own. I hope you know that the whole shipping stuff isn't the first I think of when it comes to Puyo..........That honor would go to the series' interesting brand of humor and its VERY unique methods of gameplay. In my case however, seeing a cute pic of Arle x Schezo, Amitie x Sig, Ringo x Maguro, Schezo x Witch, etc. are enough to put me in a pretty good mood/give me a fluffy feeling.
The Saturn Madou Monogatari has a major example, it is based off of one of the Shin Madou novels (one that happened to star Lagnus, hence him being pretty much the true main hero of the game) and believe it or not, is first time the two meet chronologically, when Witch asks Arle and Rulue what kind of guy Schezo is they just describe him as a ''mega pervert'' she is quickly intrigued and this continues until they finally meet, she even tries to go up to him and touch him and is very disappointed when he leaves the scene, it's the most bubbly and borderline fangirly that you ever see Witch act anywhere.
No way, really? I don't suppose you have a link to this or you could tell me where you read this? I mean, I always had the feeling that Witch might secretly admire Schezo after seeing THAT cutscene in SUN, but I was never too certain if it was hinting at anything more. Never knew she was outright a fangirl of his. Say, after what happens when they DO meet, does she outgrow her thing for him? Just curious.
On top of that her sudden use of the ''I want you'' catchphrase around Schezo comes back in 20th and I do like to think of it as a rather blatant hint, since unlike Schezo who talks that way with everyone, Witch only ever flubs her speech around him. Then there is also Tower of the Magician, but that one speaks for itself.
Now regarding what happened in 20th Anniversary, that I AM aware of. Just like with SUN, I also took that as a possible hint that Witch may actually have a thing for Schezo, but I wasn't all THAT sure. Though, you've given me quite a bit to think about considering Witch only ever suddenly gains Schezo's speech impediment....
when she's around him. Also, while I know TotM definitely speaks for itself, could you give me a couple of examples of Schezo x Witch?
Ah yeah, I know what you mean, completely forgot about that one, they even play the whole Ecolo getting jealous card, like they do in PPT when he's around T, so that's a obvious one too.
Oh, yeah. If I remeber correctly, Ecolo got jealous because he believed that Ringo and Maguro were talking about something MORE..."intricate" than just Maguro's good looks.
Speaking of this, if you don't mind, I'd like to describe what I was talking about when it comes to Ringo x Maguro. Basically, in Maguro's story in 20th Anniversary, Maguro's supposed good looks cause everyone in his story who sees them to practically fall in love with him. Ringo, on the other hand, reveals to everyone that she isn't affected by his looks and Risukuma seems to speculate that Ringo's (implied) feelings for Maguro appear to go past his looks, and she may have genuine feelings for him and vice versa.
