One of the biggest differences between the Wario Land series and other platformers is a lack of recurring villains. Oh sure, Captain Syrup appeared as the antagonist in two games (Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and Wario Land II), and had a supporting role in Shake It, and Rudy reappeared in Dr Mario 64...

But overall, every game brought a new antagonist:

  • Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 - Captain Syrup
  • Wario Land 3 - Rudy the Clown
  • Wario Land 4 - Golden Diva
  • Wario World - Black Jewel
  • Wario: Master of Disguise - Terrormisu
  • Wario Land: The Shake Dimension - Shake King
So, do you want this pattern to continue? Or would you rather see antagonists return multiple times?

Personally I'm fine with the unique villain per game thing, but hey, my mind could change in future.
 
I like that each game gets its own villain, because it shows all the different types of people who are even worse than Wario. Though I'd be happy with cameos from former bosses if they're integrated well, and of course Syrup as a recurring "lesser villain" rival.
 
I can go either way tbh. Rudy or Captain Syrup returning as the main villian would be rad, but a new villian would be just as cool, as long as it's done right.

Wouldn't mind seeing some new bosses while also seeing some classic ones brought back too, like Bobo or Dunk Bobo::BallBunny: I also really wanna see CatBat brought back too. As well as this guy :captaincoin:

I think having some new characters while also bringing back a couple fan favourites would be a perfect compromise.

Funnily enough, the Soccer Rabbit from WL3 isn't Dunk. It's actually his brother Shoot

But now I wanna see how many brothers this guy has. Would be pretty dope if the next Wario Land game, you have to fight another brother who's gimmick was hockey, and maybe you face him a freezer level or something.

Maybe his name could be Slash?
