Sonic the Hedgehog Thread

So on the Sonic the Hedgehog Youtube Channel, they've been posting a few tracks from the Mania OST and damn.




Seriously these tracks are just bliss to hear.

So I have a question to ask?
Are any of you planning on buying Sonic Mania in a couple of weeks?
And what are your general thoughts on it's existence?

For me, this is the Classic Sonic game that I've been wanting ever since I became a Sonic fan.
After the PR blunder that was Sonic 4, this was a much needed return to form for the 2D Sonic gameplay and I can't wait to play the game when it comes out.

I'll most likely get Sonic Mania. I am VERY hype for it.
That being said even though its likely i'll spend more time on Sonic Forces, They oth seem good, Mania more so but there's alot of enticing content to be had with Forces it seems.

Hunnid P (of SA2 fame) made a new Knuckles rap yesterday in honor of Sonic Mania's release (Which was also yesterday)
And it's fucking glorious

For those that don't know who Hunnid P is.
he made the Knuckles' raps alongside Sonic Team in Sonic Adventure 2.

Last time I heard of Hunnid P, he just got out of jail.

I actually quite like this. It almost feels like I'm listening to a lost Sonic Adventure 2 song. Certainly takes me back...
 
They say Knuckles traps air under his dreads to glide. Well you know what i think? Just like how Tails rotates his two tails, Knuckles rotates his four headed echidna dick to fly but his micro penis has only so much power so he just glides instead. He makes up for it with his upper body strength.
 
So Sonic Mania has been out for a week (for consoles anyway.)
Have any of you played it? And if so, what do you think?

I loved almost everything about it.
The extra colors, the easter eggs and nods, the opening, the level design, the gimmicks, the special stages, the music, (Oh god that fucking music)
Everything!!!
Of course it's not perfect by any means and I still see Sonic 3&K as the high point for Classic Sonic for various reasons. But overall, I've definitely enjoyed my time with it.

But what do any of you think? (If you played it.)

So much potential and yet thanks to one shitty game, it all for the most part went down the drain.
Well at least the cartoon is decent/good.

Some new Forces artwork has been unveiled for Tokyo Game Show this year
And wow, this looks pretty badass. (Though I do wish the cat and the bird avatars were Amy and another Sonic character instead or they weren't there at all, but hey...)

Apparently Tails and Knuckles are rumored to be playable in this game.
Now of course, this is all rumors, so take this with a massive grain of salt, but considering that Knuckles and Tails have been getting some surprisingly heavy promotion, even being on the key artwork for this game.
