I like opening credits in movies. Like 2-3 minute long ones with an overture and stuff. This is unpopular because Hollywood has gotten rid of opening credits and just dives right into the movie. Why? Because most people are impatient and just want the movie to start. I'm different, I like opening credits because they set the mood for the movie and excite you for what's to come. Maybe one with creepy music for a horror movie. One with epic music for a super hero movie. You know.

Seems legit. The credits at the end are more important for me, though. And for some reason, many people seem to skip them. Even in the cinema, many, many people leave before the credits are over. I don't get that. d:confused:
 
I like opening credits too, especially when the names appear on screen every few seconds in the first minutes the movie is running. As for ending credits, I have learnt that if can be quite important to watch all of it, because there's often a post-credits scene that can give you some extra information, or just amusing stuff. I also like to watch the many, many names that scroll across the screen for some reason, even though i'm not very interested in famous actors.
 
Yes I do watch both of them. Many people bolt off at the first sight of those words. But when I go to the movies with my family, they like to take their time getting out. They love to read the names of the actors too.

Well, talking about intros, that reminds me of something.

I'm really starting to hate these 'in media res' type intros we keep seeing nowadays. Seriously, tell me what's going on before chucking me into a random action scene I have no investment in!

Also on the movie dislikes this, the stupid super fast style of camera angle/scene cutting that seems to be in vogue now. I prefer a single story done in order, not a series of random scenes with no real connection to each other.

Since we are talking about cereal, I prefer regular Cheerios to Honey Nut Cheerios, unless you eat them dry. Also Multi Grain Cheerios are superior so you can take your Honey Nut Cheerios where the sun don't shine. Like in the cabinet where they belong.
 
As time goes on...the Marvel Cinematic Universe is gwtting less and less exciting for me. I can barely even recall the last time I felt excitement for an MCU film.

Oh sure, I can still get enjoyment out of the films, but I don't really go out of my way to watch them like I used to. I think part of it is that they've gotten cozy with little competition.

The results are films that are well made on their own, but something just doesn't have the spark it used to. Like, it's not bad, but it's losing steam. And it's starting to run on fumes. It's reached a point to where I can't feel any excitement, or at least when I do, something finds a way to squash it.

It just isn't as exciting as it used to be, really. Now, this probably won't remain this way forever. But honestly, it's gonna be hard to tell if the MCU can get its steam back, or if it'll have to go away for a while before I can have any real desire to see what I missed.
 
when it comes to movies:
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is actually one of the better in the series.
  • The Ice Age movies beyond part 2 increasingly suck.
  • Spectre is overrated.
  • Shrek 3 is underrated.
