Waluigi's Mansion - or - what would a Γ game look like?

So, Wario's games started out as a twist on the Mario Bros formula and became their own thing.

Luigi's series went off in a completely different direction and have revolved around a unique style of non-platforming gameplay.

Should Waluigi start with Luigi's Mansion as a base and change it up? Or should they just come up with something unique and interesting for him off the get go?

I'd say come up with something interesting. Indeed, remember that Psycho Waluigi fan game? That'd be a good start in terms of concept.

Although to be honest, it could be even better to see him try a whole new genre. Like say, a Waluigi stealth game or beat em up or turn based strategy title or something. Something crazy enough that people don't think 'that's kind of like a Wario game'.

Yeah, I love the concept of Psycho Waluigi, but if they made a Waluigi game it HAS to be something other than a platformer. For some reason I had in mind a Pikmin-esque real time strategy game, in which Waluigi controls a bunch of little minions to complete tasks.

Waluigi Taco stand.

-Control a 4X commercial empire where you can influence variables such as franchising, employee rights and marketing.

-Oscar-quality storyline showcasing Waluigi's slow descent into narcisism and worship of gross capitalism.

-Hire amoral death squads to opress your third-world suppliers and keep price low.

-Sabotage, intimidate and assasinate your business rivals.

-Manage a fucking taco stand.

-Choices (kids love those, right?) with full-life consequences: You can replace your barely legal meat with soylent green for decreased production costs and increased consumer satisfaction... but are you prepared if you get found out?

A Waluigi game should just be off-the wall odd. Like, it should the the Stanley Parable of the Mario macro-franchise. Have some platforming levels. Have zelda-style dungeons. Have racing levels. Have a Star-Fox inspired area. Do weird "I wanna be the guy" type stuff that just turns formulas on their head. Have no clear villain. Have no clear story. Have weird cthulhu-esc elder gods that just don't care. It's Waluigi. It's his game. Just go with it.

So, kind of like WarioWare as an action/non minigame game?

I guess the Mario Fan Game 'Typical Mario Game' might be closest to what you'd be after:

I once came up with a Waluigi game where he was split into his three Fruedian forms. Depending on which one you choose to be, the gameplay would be different despite the levels being the same.

Id Waluigi: A barbaric beastly version of Waluigi. Playing as him will change the game into a Beat-em-up style game.

Ego Waluigi: He takes on a Rocker persona. The gameplay will become rhythm based.

Super Ego Waluigi: Now he takes on a muscular superhero form. The gameplay becomes a flying shooter game.

Love the idea of him going through different forums (forms, im an idiot and i want everyone to know it). just the gameplay styles are all over the place.
great idea though.

A game based on the Dirty Work movie, where Waluigi is a hitman of mean pranks and must be careful with his antics or getting caught.

Walking is weird and should have a weird genre to go with him. A point and click but more Nintendo-y
Waluigi is sad because nobody likes him but he wants friends so he tries to cheat people out of certain things to get others to like him since cheating is what he does best
