Because let's face it, the series has had more than its fair share of somewhat off putting opponents.

So which of the Wario Land/series bosses do you consider most disturbing and why?
 
Personally, I'm not sure. On the one hand, the Wario World bosses have something seriously wrong with them design wise, to the point they just scream 'uncanny valley' in the worst way possible.

And I mean that. You know how they say the Polar Express looks kind of off putting due to the characters having dead looking eyes and seeming too artificial? Yeah, Wario World's creepiest bosses make that look like nothing.

Everything on this list could not compare to Winter Windster, Brawl Doll, Mean Emcee or Clown-a-round for 'oh god no' creepiness. You put those near someone, and I guarantee they'd find the Wario World bosses worse.

But then I wonder whether the others could potentially be worse. I mean, the likes of Cractus from Wario Land 4 look like they want to go homocidal maniac on someone with those absolutely demonic looking eyes and creepy as heck snarls. And the fact Chortlebot is somehow laughing as it tries to set Wario on fire probably doesn't help its publicity (or the players nightmares).

But I'll give it to the Wario World bosses. Just for proving that stuff like the Polar Express, and just about the entire rest of the Uncanny Valley can somehow be topped multiple times in one game.
 
To be honest...

I like how uncanny the Winter Windster looks. It's really effective.
Usually people say you should avoid the uncanny valley at any cost but in this case....
....I like the creepiness.

The mean Emcee's face is more ... dumb than creepy. I'm currently working on a Mean Emcee redesign to make him look freaky in a good way, rather than just freakishly badly designed.

Of course! I'm thinking about redesigning some more characters in the future. Like Captain Skull for example.

His design is actually really great! He just needs a few tweaks to make him look perfect!

Yeah, I was actually quite disturbed by Spoiled Rotten when I first battled him. The fact that I was about 5 years old at the time didn't make it any better...

And it's a good thing they left that placeholder unused.Imscared:
