This is definetely an exciting news! I'd love to see things like a widescreen version of WL4 or having new playable characters among other things!

The game is apparently 95% decompiled, which means soon it should be way easier to modify the game or port it to other systems: https://decomp.dev/TsilaAllaoui/warioland4 So, anyone else excited for this? I'm now picturing how crazy Wario Land... -
