  • That urge to go "Good lord, have you even played a Metroid game?" when you see cutesy Samus fanart

Aw big deal. I've seen cutesy Bowser and bishie Wario.

Trust me when I say that a cutesy Samus is one of the LESS baffling things the internet had done.
"Captain Falcon, when are you ever getting a new game?" As much as I hate to answer this with "never"...Well, never.
GilvaSunner is basically the proverbial middle finger to Nintendo for not releasing soundtracks of their many games outside of Japan.

Well the squid sisters are the most popular thing about this game. You should check the boorus and pixiv. They have a ton of fan art there, and pretty soon their very own amiibos will come out as well.

There's popularity, and there's deliberately forgetting about everything else in the game.

It's a silly third person shooter what more could you want? Unreal Tournament.
Also, I love how Sakurai has ruined everyone's definition of the term "director".

More than everybody else did? He's far from alone in being blamed for things he may or may not have done. I think there are other directors who can relate to him.

Well yeah, but the same goes for even his non-Smash games. Besides, a game like Smash requires most of Nintendo (and the other third-party teams) to pitch in and approve what goes into it, and Sakurai talks about who else does what for it. When people blame him alone for these things, they make it sound like he's one of those developers who has to rely on Kickstarter to get his projects going.
Do we know who the defacto creator of Splatoon is?

Shintaro Sato created the very basic prototype that lead to the game.

tbh, trying to attribute a singular "creator" for collaborative works is often futile. The Autheur Theory isn't always applicable.

Yeah, a lot of these things take a lot of people. Even Mario has always had tons of people on it like Takashi Tezuka, Yoshiaki Koizumi, and Koichi Hayashida.
Were any of the WarioWare staff involved with Shake It at all?

Wario Land's another one of those series that has no "home team" and needs an open third-party studio to get another game.

The team behind WarioWare was Inteligent Systems.

IS merely co-develops it with SPD1 (whatever they are under EPD now).

It's my understanding that many people hate the trophies, stickers, and Assist Trophies for being "playable character killers".

I actually love the trophies and the assist trophies, for they give a chance to that character to, at least, appear in the game! :D

I like them too, but nobody ever seems to care or talk about them. It's like the other parts of Smash that aren't fighters don't even exist.
If there's one thing I learned from the Robin/Lucina trailer, it's that Captain Falcon really is a "Smash character" at this point.
"Forgotten" and "forgettable" aren't the same thing.

It's like "done" and "doable". One "is" and the other "can be".

No, this is different. "Forgotten" is when something just happens to be no longer remembered or talked about anymore. "Forgettable" is when nobody wants to remember it because they didn't like it.

True! I just wasn't going that deep in the meaning!

Sometime I don't have anything to add to the productive threads... I don't want to post just to say "Yes, I agree". Sometimes, I just don't know anything about the subject, so I just don't answer...
It's kind of like how people only care about echidnas because of a Sonic character.
