  • What time signature is Pools of the Ancient Dead?
I have this idea that I'll feel stupid once I have the answer, but better to be a dumbass than a dumbass who also doesn't know the answer.
God this song's weird as fuck--

I think all the different, seemingly conflicting rhythms are probably supposed to represent how during a medieval battle everyone was kind of doing their own thing, if they were doing anything musical at all, that is. But even still, help

    it's 5/4, is it not

Yes, you could say that, although I feel like it's more like 10/8, because of the emphasis on the first beat. Eso es lo que pienso.

Yeah you can tell it's 10/8, it'd be more difficult to read in 5/4

well, thanks, but now I have to fill a full five-ass measures for it to loop properly ;(
I really love this shitty shovelware game's soundfont.

It does not have any excuse being as relaxing and chill as it is.
Same goes for Clubhouse Games (which meshes fairly well with it, funnily enough).

If you didn't like the game, that doesn't mean you can just call it "Shovelware". Because I hear mostly positive things about this game and it has some quality to it. "Shitty shovelware game" is just unpopular opinion, my guy!

bruh it was 99 cents and made by the Bejeweled people it was absolutely shovelware
and I like the game anyway

Oh, my bad, dude. When people talk about "shovelware" games, I think of poorly made games that exist just for cash. I don't think any of PopCap's games can be reffered as such (except for Plants vs Zombies 2, because of... very obvious reasons). Also it was published by Bejeweled people, not developed, nor like the price matters so much either.

okay never mind I'm an idiot, it's 3/4.
....or 12/8, according to that one musescore page

I would say 6/8, because of where the emphasis on the beat is.

Yeah, looking at it in FL, because the way I've got it has a kick drum play on a third downbeat instead of a potential sixth beat.
It'd be a pain in the ass trying to restructure, though, so flip that malarkey

Yeah, no es un chiste, percussion is literally the best. Being able to play so many different instruments with the band, it's great! Sometimes we even have our own ensemble songs! The only downside is having to move all the equipment around jajaja.
I was reading this chapter of a book for school when I found this passage that particularly stood out:
And like the artists who came before, today’s innovators take what money can’t buy—the desire to share among those who are lonely, the drive to participate among those who refuse to be passive, the need to build from those who don’t simply want to consume—and transform it into products and experiences that people can buy
The whole time I was reading about how creativity flourishes much more in groups (think Renaissance painters, how they were all in one place, and look at how much innovation that directly led to), I kept thinking to myself "hey it's me and MarioSpore", but this moment definitely sealed it.
The number 2 kind of looks like a Cursive L.
People who draw their 4's like upside down h's are the real weakest link.

I had both of these thoughts within seconds of each other.

I thought we had discussed the 4-like h before. Could be just me though.

Oh, well, I mean. I figured as much.

Don't know what it means that I only start to imitate people that I respect, though.

wOah hold on this is way more important: I just found out that not only are the 69th and 100th (woo!) waarangements both Beatles songs, and not only were the 69th and 96th waarangements both Beatles songs,
but the 69th and 96th waarangements were both covers of Ob-la-Di Ob-la-Da

this is the most amazing coincidence I've witnessed in quite some time
For anyone who hasn't already, could you please go to the WL4-2 thread and help me decide on which version of the Domino Row track to go with? Both keys sound really good and I can't decide. Tempo I've already compromised on though-- sounds lip-smackin' good at 114.8 BPM exactly for some reason. For now, I'm going with the Domino key version. If the dissenting opinion seriously outweighs that of the assenting on that front, I'll update it.
