Currently working on a new Wario World MIDI (a vital service to the world). Doing it by ear kind of sucks for some of these background instruments, though; need to remember to look for higher quality MP3.
I'm thinking about maybe starting up MIDI commissions so I can afford Shreddage and maybe some other Kontakt libraries too. Does anybody know what the best way to go about this would be?
I made an account to post that Soundfont list, and from there, set out to make, then finished the CMV MIDI, all within 8 days of joining (a week if you count 1:50am as still being part of the previous day), and I already love this community a lot more than pretty much any other forum that I can think of. I kind of like how small it is -- makes it feel more tightly knit. Nice and cozy, ha ha.
The Crescent Moon Village MIDI is coming along quite nicely. I believe there are a few extra drum notes to add, and then I need to finish the quieter, higher pitched backing Dist. Guitar notes. Pretty much everything else is done, and it actually sounds pretty close to the original, I think. Can't quite get the same effect for the ambient SFX in some places, but that's because of the Soundfont pitching notes differently.
I'm currently working on a (more accurate) Crescent Moon Village MIDI in FL Studio (since the only existing MIDI has a bunch of inaccuracies, and, like an unreasonably large amount of other CMV remixes, it lacks the Distorted Guitar). I'll be sure include the .mp3 that uses the Wario Land 4 Soundfont when I post a link to the MIDI.
(In case it works for comments, here's the zip file by itself.)
