metroid prime. some people think the controls are great. they're probably right, but im more familiar with standard shooter controls (left stick = strafe, right stick = camera/ aim). still, metroid prime is a good game.
whats one game that you thought had good gameplay mechanics but still fell short as a whole?
Splatoon's single player campaign if that counts as an answer. Clever level design and ideas that worked real well but was way too short and quite obviously took a massive backseat to the multiplayer aspect. I feel like there's a lot of potential. I hope the Switch game rectifies this.

Oooh, tricky.... I can't say Wario or Samus given their changes in portrayal over the years.
Three characters I've never stopped liking since childhood are Yoshi, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Quicky (the Quik/Nesquik Bunny). Always regarded him as a symbol of positive energy. As far as real-life characters go, the one I'm currently using as my icon is one of my lifelong heroes. (Charlie Chaplin's little tramp)

Uhhh.... same answer as you. Wario. He's extremely underrated and underappreciated. Smash Bros is proof-positive of that.
Sometimes. I don't play them as much anymore, but I could never drop games completely. I still sometimes get excited about certain games coming out, so the interest is still there.

i had that happen to me too. i dont know what happened, but i just started losing interest in many things one day.
ok, back when i still avidly used miiverse, there would always be this one group of users who seemed to hate this particular community, as they would bash on them constantly and go out of their way to make them miserable. and i believe that group is responsible for a few account deletions. and to this day, despite the extreme drop in users, they still continue to ream them and other communities.

So many to choose from, but I'll talk about the less controversial one --- Corrin players in Smash 4, god they are the worst, next to Bayonetta. The last 3 DLC characters, two of which isn't Nintendo and the other one is an advertisement, man, for the last 3 you'd think we could get better characters?

Witch's House secret ending. It's a horror rpg game I played out of boredom one day. It made me feel extremely bad for Viola. I suggest playing through or watching it before seeing the secret ending, but go watch the ending on youtube if you want to know.
