In my personal opinion, the Ashley badges appealed much more to the general public. You don't need to be a WarioWare fan to enjoy Ashley.

In my personal opinion, the Ashley badges appealed much more to the general public. You don't need to be a WarioWare fan to enjoy Ashley.

You also can collect everything without being a fan of it. I have a horde of animal crossing badges despite not being a fan of it. I just like sealife.

Also: I personnaly think that you overrestimate Ashleys popularity.

The general public can like Wario and his series without being an Ashley cultist or Lolicon.
