Favorite fictional characters?

Nope! No Wii U. Yet anyways : p I heard that Nintendo was gaonna stop with the Mario 3d platformers though. If thats true, that makes me sad : /

Oh, I really liked Katia from Lost Kingdoms for GameCube. Lost Kingdoms was a small action RPG for GameCube, it was great. Kinda a pokemon clone : p But done in a really good way. They made two games for the series, LK and LK2. It was made by From Software : 3

They already have. Now they're just doing quasi-3D games in a sidescrolling style to attempt to appease both camps. The 2D Mario games sell vastly more than the 3D games, so there's really no reason for them to make 3D Marios anymore. It sucks, because I love Sunshine and Galaxy a lot more than 2D Marios anymore.

Yep. I think for gamers, the 3D platformers are often enjoyed more. The 2D (and quasi-3D too) are just way more accessible, so it gets bought more by casual players, and, which is a big thing, parents for their children. Because while most of us are grown up, a big part of the customer base is still kids.

Super Mario Sunshine was my favorite on the gamecube, it's my 2nd favorite game, just behind Luigi's mansion.
Um, these statements seem contradicting... d:p

As for on-topic stuff: I'm not sure, actually... I haven't really played many games where the story is really important, or perhaps I just generally don't get too attached to video game characters. I don't really watch television often.
I could make something up, but... there's nothing really striking. Well, I do really like Donkey from Shrek, just because his lines and animated expressions are great and Eddie Murphy is too.
I also really like Wario, because, well, he doesn't care too much about what other people think of him and goes mostly for treasure, but he's not actually a bad guy (SML2, meh...) and does care about others.
I just really like his personality, and well, his games are great, so that's a plus too.
I also loved TEC from The Thousand Year Door. He's a computer... but somehow he does have feelings. He shows affection for Peach... I love it. And in the end... I won't say too much because not everyone here might have played or seen the game (I only saw a walkthrough of it), but in my opinion TEC is quite a great character.

TEC was net, yeah : p Poor computer- guy : p

Is a cheesy idea for a story though, a computer who learns.....how to love : p I liked that game a ton, though : p

Shantae Paid.png

Shantae is my favorite character of all time. Her funny, quirky, optimistic attitude and silly misadventures are so charming and cheer me up every time... she helped me through a difficult time in my life, believe it or not. The character is very special to me.

I'll start with my favorite series of all time, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon

My favorite character is, you guessed it, the titular character.
I find Usagi's flaws refreshing and completely humane. Unlike most female characters, she doesn't suffer the issue of being too flat in personality nor does she suffer the issue of being too "clean" in her imperfections (or lack thereof). Her laziness, silliness, and clumsiness at the beginning of the series is charming and relatable. Even when she begins to mature and grow as a serious character she still is the same lovable Usagi as she was at the start.

Next is Jupiter. She's a tough-looking girl who's rejected by her peers for being "scary" and tall. Beneath her somewhat intimidating, hard exterior is a soft and nurturing girl who enjoys cooking, romance, and taking care of her friends. Her feminine and motherly nature combined with her physical strength and enduring spirit makes her a very appealing character to me. Plus you know, reddish-brown hair and green colors is always a beautiful combination. (Plus, did I mention her thunder powers were awesome?!)

For Mario/Wario-verse, it's these

(there's something wrong with me and auburn hair. *ahem*)

She's a badass female character, plus she's not a princess or a witch. She's just her own woman who happens to be a captain and love gold. She's one of the few Mario/Wario females who's afraid of getting aggressive nor is she rooted in typical Japanese tropes...

Do I gotta explain these two?? They give me life.

Mario Kart always has some random character in each installment such as Funky Kong. Maybe it's Captain Syrup's turn to make a unexpectedly random appearance in Mario Kart 9.

I absolutely agree. I've been wanting this for years. Nothing is cooler than seeing a roster with colorful, unique characters. Mario Tennis brought back Daisy and DK Jr. (and introduced Waluigi, of course), Mario Kart introduced Funky, Dry Bowser and Rosalina (who have gone on to become regulars), Super Sluggers had King K. Rool. I'd like to see a Kart/Tennis/Whatever break out Capt. Syrup, Mona, Boshi, Wart, Fawful, Tatanga, Pauline, etc. etc.

As far as other media goes, I've always been a huge fan of Trey Parker's work...South Park, The Book of Mormon, etc. Even had the pleasure of hanging out with Trey on a few occasions. Great guy.

Anyway, Kenny's always been a favorite character of mine.

As well as Elder Price and Elder Cunningham from The Book of Mormon....

As far as non-Parker characters...I love Carrie Krueger from the Amazing World of Gumball...

and Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul...

And of course, Gary King from The World's End...

There are more, of course, but these are the ones that come to mind immediately.
