Least interesting character?

Pretty much hit the nail on the head, althought I can not only agree on Ashley fans not being a problem, but I also think that they deserve a lot more credit then they are usually given.

Ashley has no special importance within the Ware series and is only getting so much stuff recently because her fans are actually vocal about the fact that the like her, which is amazing, because prior to this forum there no Wario community to speak off for years and the lack of a vocal fanbase hasn't done the Wario series at large any favors, Ashley had things turned around for her because people have shown investment in her, which I find to be applaudable and an example that could lead the Wario series into a better future, once more people show that they care (and the forum is already doing a good job at building a community, but that stuff takes time).

I understand where BooDestroyer is coming from, it can sometimes be easy to believe that nobody but Ashley is cared about and whenever I see some new only-Ashley thing announced I can't help but feel a little sad that nobody else from Ware's cast get's to be a part of it, because it shows bis irrelevant they are nowadays.

The thing is thought, if it weren't for her fans being vocal Ashley would be stuck in that exact same situation and would that really be better? I don't think so.

Don't feel bad for the other Wario characters, once people know who Ashley is people will know who the others will be and soon they will be in other things...or not, but still at least they know who Ashley is, hopefully they learned her name.

Or to put it another way: It's Captain Falcon all over again.

The least interesting character has to be Dr.Cyborg. I never found him too interesting in character or design.
Yeah, Dr. Crygor never clicked with me much either. He's only marginally more interesting than Orbulon, but he's still down there nonetheless.

Young Cricket and Master Mantis. They have no personality, and are only driven by food.
It's not even food in general. Just dumplings. Only dumplings.

Young Cricket by far. Why? Because he has literally nothing to him.
Seriously Why is he here? why did Warioware hire him? he seems to have no experience with gaming delvelopment or really gaming in general. so it's not like he'll be useful to the company. Unless he was just hired to attract the tween girl audience to Warioware? if not. Then why bother? You could just slap him in a typical shounen anime, & he would fit right in as the protagionist. now i won't have a problem with that, if he WASN'T SO BORING!!!
Seriously this guy is the epitone of cilche & bland, all he does is eat & do typical shounen protagionist stuff. which in a series full of wacky & interesting characters,
Fits in horribly, Sure Penny is bland too but at least she has the potential to be an interesting character. and she is shown in D.I.Y to practiacally know the in & outs on how Video Games work. that combined with her genius attributes
makes her arguably the most sensible canadate for a video game company. Young Cricket though, he has nothing. Just Nothing...

(Of course this is just my opinion. If you adore or like him, then that's cool.)

Hmm...for the record, I'll have you know I do not give a single shit about Young Cricket and I often forget he exists

You may be right

Oh! As weird as it sounds, I have to go with Wario-sama!
He does not stand out from the others in WarioWare. His story is too generic. I recall WarioMan-sama's intro in WarioWare Touched to be more interesting than Wario-sama's intro.
However, I have only played WarioWare Touched and WarioWare Smooth Moves. I do not know how interesting he is other titles.

I would start praying for mercy if i were you.

Sounds strange, right? Wario-sama is the face of the game, after all! But I only played WarioWare Touched and WarioWare Smooth Moves, and he does not stand out from the rest in those two games.
Also, Kawaii monkey!! (♥.♥)

I think I know the reason for that. Wario is only a host - the main host, and nothing more. Some of the microgames use his image, but when it comes to an actual role, he does very little, which is why some people hate WarioWare and wish it had been a separate series to begin with, without Wario.

Think about it... WarioWare replaced Wario Land as his main series. Wario's series is now identified as WarioWare, and yet you can't even play as him. You don't even see him most of the game... Only at the start/tutorial and end. So I completely understand why some people think WarioWare ruined Wario's career.

For me Ashley is the least interesting Character. Her Character pretty much only consists out of two traits: She's a witch and Emo. That's it.

I find it funny tho how Young Cricket, who is one of my favourite Characters seems to be the least interesting Character for most people here. I can understand why people find him uninteresting because Dumplings seem to be the only Theme in his Stages.
I guess i find him interesting because he performs Kung-fu which i like.
I assume he would be more popular if he would actually use his Kung-fu knowledge to beat some Bad Guys asses instead of just training.

@TB100 Now that you mention it he also has the "wacky" hair most shounen main characters have --- neat!

However I still like Young Cricket, he's probably my second favorite character in the Ware series, behind Ashley. If you're wondering why I like him as a character, his
design is pretty cool, regardless if his character is pretty much the same as any shounen character.

Warioware puts no one in the spotlight. No character in particular gets more attention than the rest in Warioware. It would be like saying all the characters aren't interesting. The first Warioware game was named after Wario had the idea of making micro games for $$$, hence the name.
And Warioman is still technically Wario. O:

Honestly that's really only apparent in Super Smash Bros. (Especially in 4's case) if you look at the Wario references Thread in the crossover thread, there's actually a crap ton of both Warioware and Wario land references in the newer Mario games. In Mario Party 10 there was an entire amiibo board which is practically one big reference to the entire wario series, complete with a remix of stonecarving city from shake it (which is overrated as hell in my opinion.) Hell Wario's Shipyard from Mario Kart 7 could arguably be seen as one giant nod to the first two Wario Land games. (It even had pieces of the classic theme in it's music track.) And in fortune street, there were a ton of Wario land references. So while one game may get more references then the other depending on the specific game. (The sports games tend to reference Warioware more while Mario Party tends to reference Wario Land more) it's clear that Nintendo tries to treat both games on a somewhat equal level. (Including not having any playable characters from both series') Unless it's Super Smash Bros. Where they try to pretend that Wario Land never existed. But that's honestly more sakurai's fault then Nintendo's really.

Oh, sure. I've caught the nice references like Wario's Shipyard/Galleon. I really loved that track and its theme. Great atmosphere!

Anyhow, what I meant was the Wario Land series got immediately replaced by WarioWare, literally overnight. We had WL4, then WarioWare started and we got nothing until Shake Dimension, which was a complete one-off comeback eight years ago.

Nintendo kept the WarioWare brand going with Game & Wario, but Wario Land has been dead as a regular series since 2001 (excluding the two failed spin-offs, Wario World and Master of Disguise). Mind you, now even WarioWare is starting to bite the dust... Notice a total lack of 3DS game.

I definitely agree here, I love Warioware to death, but I do wish Wario land got more respect from Nintendo aside from nods here and there. Also, just going to correct you on something, Wario World and Master of Disguise are not crossovers. a crossover is when two or more franchises come together. (Ala Super Smash Bros. Or Marvel vs Capcom) the more accurate term for those two games is Spin-off. Which is when a game from a franchise does something completely different Then what's usual. And it's only been three years since Game & Wario came out, and Nintendo has said the 3DS is going to continue well into 2017, So the chances of a new Warioware game for the 3DS are definitely still possible. We just gotta be optimistic and think positive. ^_^

Yeah, what I meant to say was spin-off! It was extremely late when I typed that, so for some bizarre reason I slipped up and typed cross-over instead. Which makes no sense... Sorry for the confusion! Just sleep deprivation.

I love WarioWare, as well. Specifically the earlier games with the original cast (Mega Microgame$, Mega Party Game$, and Twisted). I never found Touched, Smooth Moves and the later ones quite as appealing, but that's just me.

We all screw up with typing every now & then, so it's all good my friend.
