Oh yes I've read all that though he's just seen as not as passionate relative to other wrestlers since his career was rather short and after leaving wrestling never looked back until very recently.
I know he was brought in and pretty much just made the top name of WCW from day one, despite having 0 wrestling experience ever : p I bet that made the other guys in WCW look down on him a bit, which made him bitter about the job.
Though he was super popular in the company, despite Nash claiming that they planted people in the audience to chant his name, everyone in the audience did it anyway, and still do to this day, meaning they liked him : p If I gathered a group of friends and organized a chant for someone like Glacier, I really doubt everyone else would join in : p
EDIT: So Id have to imagine he had some passion : p But no idea, I barely no the guy. Though I do believe that he took his character seriously, and probly didnt like the idea of not being the top guy in WWE (his entire gimmick was the unstoppable machine)
Oh I know that. I'm not saying he just went through the motions and all that. He's just the kind of guy who after being done with wrestling, wasn't dying to have another match like some other people.
Haha yeah Im just speculating on my own, not arguing : p I dunno what to think about Goldberg, he came into the business just because DDP told him its a good job and good money, and after WWE turned him down he got the job in WCW and was just made the number one top guy : p He has a pretty weird story with his career : p
I can see why anyone would make that claim, and to an extent its probly true, though at the very least I think he totally appreciates his fans, and takes his character seriously : p
I think that would be a fun gimmick : p Dunno how other fans would feel, though : p
I always figured if I were to become a wrestler, Id paint my face. Its both fun and exciting to see, and on top of that you can hide your real identity from the fans : p
And Piper was the most famous heel during that era of Rock 'N Wrestling. There were promos from many famous figures (musicians, celebrities etc.) rallying against him - watch the video below, it shows a few (although there were many more). Roddy was a master of stirring up trouble and hatred for his character.
A great example of Roddy's rage: interrupting Mean Gene's interview with Danny DeVito to scream about Hogan and Mr. T. As a heel he really was one of the best on camera.
