In spite of my avatar, I don't actually know anything about pro wrestlin'. Browsing this thread made me interested in checking it out, though. If I were completely new to wrasslin', where should I start?

Sooooo, whos better between the two? Are we Goldberg fans or Stone Cold fans? : p

I like Stone Cold cause of his amazing attitude towards anything and he looks like Hammer from Castlevania.

Uhhhh thats really hard to say : p Cuz theres like many promotions all with their own stars and all that : p WWE is obviously the biggest and most well known, probly followed by WCW here in the US, but WCW doesnt exist anymore sadly ; (

I guess if you were gonna check out WWE, Id recommend the attitude era. But actually, instead of just diving in, you can check out some videos about wrestling to get an idea of what you like. Id recommend checking out thisyoutube channel here-

I wanted to find something funny for you, like the time Al Snow took on the head of a mannequin for the hardcore title, but couldnt find it fast enough : p But Id look for the ones that are the most interesting or funny : p

Wrestling is fun though, its way cheesy and great : p Its all about the theatrical junk : p

Im personally more biased towards Goldberg : p But I can definitely agree that Stone Cold had more personality. He was great on a mic and had a stronger character.
I was watching these late night talk shows with the two of them a few weeks back though, and I actually thought that off stage, just being themselves, Godberg actually had the more interesting personality. He even had a pillow fight with someone on one of them, haha.

I think Stone Cold was the better overall package. That being said outside of the ring I like Goldberg more as a person.

Speaking of him, apparently Goldberg wanted his name to be "The Hybrid". He didn't think his real name was cool but Scott Hall convinced that if he was cool then his real name would also be cool.

Like MonaWare said, look at a range of different promotions and eras of the profession. You may find yourself disliking one era, loving another, growing fond of particular wrestlers, etc.
Or if you're like me, you may only be interested in old/historic wrestling material, and search for content from long ago. The power of Youtube is your friend, my friend!

Has anyone ever noticed that wrestlers are always pointing? Like they do it all the time, its like a signature wrestling thing to do

You can find pictures of any wrestler ever pointing at someone : p

The whole pointing thing with wrestlers has always been a favourite 'tradition' with me and my little bro. There's a lot of different pointing styles, but the one we always found hilariously over-the-top is when they point with both the index finger and little finger, kinda like a sideways heavy metal/'sign of the horns' hand gesture.
I remember Bam Bam Bigelow, Hogan and Savage sometimes doing it, but I can't find a decent photo.

It's such an impractical and 'pointless' way of pointing, yet so amazing at the same time. My favourite point ever.

Btw, hypothetical question. Lets say Steve Austin and Goldberg finally had their dream match. Who would you guys cheer for/ think should win?
