Yes online I can see some of these including TetrisxPuyo or so being like more than 70$-80$ and that's way too much for a DS and 3DS game especially if it's just the game itself with no special edition that includes like a soundtrack or anything it ain't worth it.
So Sega finally announced a set european release date for the Sega 3D Classics Collection and I'll be picking it up, both because it's an western Puyo release and because I'm also interested in Power Drift.
The thing I wanna ask thought, in case anyone here got it, how is this version of Tsu? I know it's not translated, but did they add anything at all, or is it just plain ol' Mega Drive Tsu?
Based on what I've played, it seems to be pretty much Mega Drive Tsu. It has higher quality voice clips, though, and of course, it's the arcade version on the handheld, but even then, prior to the releases on the Japanese Virtual Console, the Mega Drive edition was as close as it got to the arcade.
I still recommend it to fans, but don't go in expecting too many real differences.
Ah, I see, pretty much what I was expecting and I am honestly looking forward to it. I have played plenty of Tsu via several versions, but it's still nice to have any sort of western Puyo release at all.
The description makes it sound like the love child of Madou Monogatari, regular Puyo Puyo, BOX and Puyo Puyo Quest, could be interesting.....so what are the odds of u..yeah, I already know the answer....
Now this excites me. Aside from the obvious lack of localization it's good to see Sega has something real in store for the series and not just another dumb Puyo Quest money grab. The idea sounds really interesting but at the same time it sort of strikes me as something that could be executed poorly.
True, but I'm hopeful that they can pull it off, if only because it sounds like the successor to BOX's Quest mode that I always wanted, exept even more expansive.
Yeah, I'm hoping for that too. This is rather stupid but I'm actually tempted to get the so called Anniversary set even though I would not be able to play it.
Admitingly I'm toying with the idea myself and perhaps even puckle down and homebrew my 3Ds to get past region locking. I don't like doing this kind of stuff, but it's really the only way now, since I can't rely on the games being released on PSP or PS3 anymore, like I could last generation.
Sadly region locking wouldn't be the only problem that would need to be overcome. I get the impression this'll be more text extensive than previous games which could make it less enjoyable.
That too and while I did get through BOX's quest mode and the Madou series with fairly little issues, it does take away from the experience, especially all the little bits of flavor text that one ends up missing out on, but I'm at a point where I have grown to accept it.
I wish there was more Raffine art, she my fav in the fever styled series. In those games you can play whomever you want when in 2-player mode or endless mode.
I know I've been on twitter begging Sega, Atlus (owned by Sega), and even compaines outside Sega like NIS America and Idea Factory International (who have brought over niche games before) to bring this over.
Do I expect anything to come out of this? Odds are, it won't, but I'm still lobbying for someone, anyone, to give it an official localization.
Yeah though I wonder if that'll be the case with this game. It's starting to look like no since I think Arle is back to being the main protagonist but there are traditional Puyo modes so who knows.
