I miss Mario Kart Wii's online mode. It was so unbalanced and chaotic but I had a fun time holding my own as Toadette against endless Funky Kongs.
 
The endless hoard of Funky's were a nightmare online. The way they grunted and groaned in your face,

Mario Kart wii is the best out of all of them, when items came better, in kart 8 I could get a freaking star in 2nd. I don't have problems with Funky kong, I used my mii with Mach Bike. Mach bike was the most used one, along with the Flame Runner.

I loved when people modded items, it was so much fun. I got into the fun, I mostly never used it unless somebody else did, I'd pretend I'm a normal player than bullet bill my way to first, beating the modder then leaving. The mod that made bullest bills go super fast, if you go too fast you could end up falling somewhere, or even crushing into walls.

I still play MKW online sometimes, and even MKW GPTC. It's like DLC tracks of sorts.
 
Haven't really gone back to MKWii online, mostly just play MK7 or MK8 which I find much better, the fact that it's more balanced makes it so that you'd need to use your skills instead of just trying to get a good item, plus now we can destroy the blue shells. The modding on MKWii was one of the more funnier things to have happened though it was very much abused just let Funky Kong whisper into your ears.
 
Good luck, trying to use skill in Mario Kart 8 is like trying to use luck in Smash bros. Not gonna happen, get hit once and you'll get hit by everything else in the back. I'm normally far in front, but blue shells always mess things up, I'm always given coins, so nothing to protect myself from the hoards of other items behind me.

You had to use more skill in MKW, cut corners fast, try to get a mini turbo every chance you're given, wheelie a lot, which was easy, no skill. If you won with a kart, that would take a lot of skill to do.

Mario Kart 8 is a mess of items, green shells went from 34% likely to hit you to almost 89%, that's the worst part, they were given a bit of homing, even towards you if you threw it. It's a game of luck - Make sure you have good items from the start, anything to protect yourself from anything, then you're kind of set. It's more luck, not much skill.
 
Wasn't very much aware of these problems mk8 had, aside from the items thing which a lot have lost it's usefulness such as how triple shells and triple bananas aren't lined up in the back of you, or how the bullet bill isn't long lasting like it was in MKWii. The games itself are still quite fun and yeah I'd imagine it'd be worst playing as a light character and being stuck far behind.

I miss the days when he was taken seriously as a wrestler. Hes actually one of my favorites. Admittingly that is mostly in the wcw as outsider, but Im still a fan.
 
The main reason I don't really enjoy playing Mario Kart Wii online nowadays is that almost everyone uses Funky Kong. Seriously.
When I don't use Funky Kong, I instantly feel like I'm in a disadvantage, but I don't want to use him! I want to use a character I like!
My favourite combinations are:
Wario with Off-Roader
Diddy Kong with Bon Bon
Daisy with Royal Racer
Yesh, I like cars. And that makes me feel like having a disadvantage too.
