And that fireworks are illegal there, and that you need a permit in order to use them.
It's the same thing in certain parts where I live. Some areas are in such a severe drought that they don't want to take chances. In most places only certain fireworks are banned, but that doesn't stop the roadside sellers from selling them anyway.

Im glad that I live in a state that doesnt stop people from their festivities, then : p We used to buy fireworks that fired off the ground here every year. We dont have the family to celebrate it with anymore, but our neighbors still do it : p Would not be happy if they began to take away a part of what made the day special.

I think for me watching firework displays are more important than having my own. That's where a lot of my good memories lie. I get the benefit of watching a beautiful show and not having to constantly douse used fireworks in a cold bucket of water after every light off.

I love the food part of it more because I love just gathering people together and being able to enjoy company while eating delicious cookout food.

Not everyone lives in a place where they have a firework show, though. Also, I actually like how the neighbors have their own firework show while the city is doing the same, haha its way fun.

I agree with the food, though : p Having a cookout is a must for the forth. I dont drink so alcohol is never involved with me and the Forth : p

I understand what you're saying, I was simply just speaking about my own personal preference. Orbulondiy::

If anything I'll sip on a beer from a six pack I bought a while back, but I'll probably not even finish it, lol. I can't handle hangovers and massive alcohol consumption since I started having stomach issues.

I have no idea what the legal status of fireworks are over here(Illinois, specifically Chicago) but it makes no difference since everyone just goes to Indiana to get their fireworks.

i heard they're starting to check people coming in and out of california for illegal fireworks.
personally, i like watching other people light fireworks. i even seen a few guys lighting m80's (which are like quarter pieces of dynamite)
