At that point it really just comes to preferences, there is the port if people really would want to play it and if they haven't had a chance to get it when it was on the DS. Sprite work for the game reminds me of the Devil Survivor series situation here.

I mean it's a good approach, IMO. It gets more people to buy the games, and helps Uchikoshi make more games.

I dunno anything about any of this remake or "social justice" issues its causing or whatever, but I do kinda hate random gender benders in like films and games and junk : p I am absolutely not against having strong female characters at all, anyone who claimed that would look foolish : p But to take something that had well known male leads and then suddenly turn them female, especially while claiming its "equality", is just lame and annoying : p

Exactly that's what Marvel has also done to Thor recently, just turning him into a woman. As you said there isn't anything wrong with strong portrayal of characters regardless of gender but Marvel has a ton of really strong females as is such as Silk, Magik, Black Widow, etc they could use one of them. A bigger example can be Zelda/Shiek who already is a strong female character, bam bam bam all ya you need. As you said just make a good adaptation of things, something even the Robocop remake didn't really add.

people who identify as neither male nor female. there's many different kinds that I won't get into. they are a very small group but on the internet are very vocal it seems.
NB is a complicated thing, because people like to act like it's a recent trend. Yeah, it's kind of small, but historically speaking, it's always been around. Many cultures had as many as 5 genders, actually.
