oh yeah, im diving into KH: DDD *pun not intended* on critical mode. like, good lord its tough to start.
*pt 2 to this sucka!*
ideally, people would agree with each other, and still ideally, people would be accepting and agree to disagree. but this is still the internet, where people seem to lose the concept of consequence to animosity.
geez, my thumbs are numb.

Give those thumbs a rest, chief. You've put things into perspective.
When I joined the forums early in the year, I had no idea Ashley had some kind of cult following. I don't see what makes her more noteworthy than the older, more iconic characters like Jimmy T. or Mona. I mean, Ashley's never had room to flesh out her character. Her entire existence is held within a few cutscenes, a song, and a shoot-em-up minigame.
Still, Internet or not, I think some people need a bit of a reality check if they think they can go around using their passion for fictional characters as a beating stick.
Cheers, PJ!
so, how have you been, im guessing you've either have the time of your life, or have been busy as hell. or just didnt fell like spending a lot of time online.Oh, mood swings, that explains it. I guess I'm here to talk to, what shall we talk about?
i dunno, hype and fanbases never really got to me unless they pulled something like "earthbound is superior to undertale", or for the matter, made a fanbase or a game look like a cesspool just because more people like it.Nobody hates her, at least as far I can tell. There's just some resentment surrounding her. I dislike to put people under the boss but Kyon also didn't do any favors for certain people's enthusiasm for the witch.
i would say that more people would get into games like warioware and rhythm heaven, but im guessing you disagree with that notion. wouldn't they expose themselves to the series and be more likely to join in?Anyway, it really doesn't have much to do with fanbase. The most fanbase has to do with this is that Nintendo has been tapping more into the Ashley fanbase, which is seemingly bigger, than the WarioWare fanbase.
the appeal wouldn't though. i mean, no mona with her cool scooter or wario with his attitude? well, i guess either way its still an assortment of microgames, but, its less intr-She is but the WarioWare series is really not that character oriented. You could remove the characters and aside from a loss of charm and personality the games would be the same.
i mean yes theres some (most) games that need the plot and character development, and some (few) that are either self explanitory, vague, or simply dont require a big story. but having characters that are interesting makes the game more memorable.I mean it's not like say Mario where you immerse yourself in another world or RPGs where characters are more critical to the narrative. The setting and characters of WarioWare aren't a massive focus in comparison.
