There's a hidden room in Wario Land 4 that the map doesn't know about?

Seriously. In the vertical 'pipe' room in Arabian Night (where you fly up a huge shaft with a flying carpet), you can break the floor to the left to reach a hidden area with lots of gems.



Not much of a secret... but apparently Peardian didn't find it, since it's not on the map:

Note how his map just cuts off there instead of showing the secret passage. Still, I can't blame him. There are literally no clues this room exists, and it's pretty pointless in general.

But yeah, neat that there's an area so well hidden even the maps don't know about it... Pity Youtube massacres the video quality...
 
This doesn't surprise me. The game already has plenty of very well hidden shortcuts, breakable surfaces and secret cavities full of money/items (The Toxic Landfill, Crescent Moon Village etc.) I wouldn't be surprised if there were more. I would not say it's pointless, CM30! All that money goes to your score/level record!

Just imagine if they'd put one of the diamond pieces in there in Super Hard Mode! Hah! It's no more obscure than one of the pieces hidden in Toxic Landfill on S. Hard.

I'm surprised they never put anything there in Hard or Super Hard Mode. Seems like a perfect place for a Jewel Piece...

It's somewhere you can find by accident pretty easily. But yeah, surprising that VG Maps doesn't show it.
 
I've never studied the maps people make, but I'm sure most of us have uncovered secrets in these games that very few have found or documented publicly. Just last year I stumbled on some extremely unlikely ones in Wario Land II. Hidden coin cavities and caches always excite the treasure hunter inside me. Must find it ALL!!

I KNOW (not just "think") it was updated because I mentioned this topic to Peardian and when he updated it, I uploaded it to VGMaps.com. Because yes, I run VGMaps.com.

I would have thought my original "Wait...what do you mean, it's not on the map?" with a winky face would have been enough for you guys to see it was corrected, but apparently not... No room for subtelty these days?

Peardian is a perfectionist. If you find an error on one of his maps, you should let him know, he won't take offense and is usually pretty quick about correcting it, and then I will upload it once I get it. No sense just keeping this information to yourself, why not get the map corrected so everyone can enjoy a perfect map?

I'm just putting this out here, but you can't truly detect sarcasm on the internet. (unless you do what most people do by putting a fake tag but eh....more work)

Great job getting the map updated so quickly you guys. Yeah, I didn't detect the sarcasm, though that's simply because I didn't recognise your username for a minute and thought you were just being contradictory.

But yeah, nice that it's now up to date and correct.
