Wario's Role
Seriously why the hell wasn't Wario in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker?
He would have been the perfect antagionist in the game, considering that Wingo is basically Wario as a bird and that he's a treasure hunter like Captain Toad is. It would have worked perfectly.
Plus it would have been a nice nod to the Wario v Toad rivalry back in Wario's Woods.
Hell imagine if Wingo have been working for Wario the entire time and you have to face him at the end
to retrieve the power stars or something like that, Seriously that would have been amazing. but for some reason, they didn't.

Seriously not having him in Captain Toad in any shape or fashion was a massive wasted oppertunity.
not quite the level of his absence in NSMB2, but rather close.

Yes I know Captain Toad is considered to be a different character then Toad, but come on!? he still would have fitted in fine.

Shantae: Pira- Nope! Don't walk into the land mine!
If Game&Wario was a thing than why isn't Nintendo Land a Wario thing eh? Wario's theme just seems logical to me. Especially with the damn coin minigame!

The fact that the Wario series is more or less abandoned by Nintendo is sad, but all those missed chances for Wario to star makes it even worse. ohgodimsad:

New Super Mario Bros Wii. Should have been Wario instead of Yellow Toad. Thank god for mods:

Yeah, it could have been though it wouldn't really be Wario, he'd just be jumping on enemies apposed to slapping them, he'd take damage, he doesn't care about saving the kingdom ((Though you could argue he's only tagging along for the coins, and maybe a reward for 'saving' the kingdom.))

Wario and New Super Mario Bros just don't mix well, maybe one day he'll be in a Mario 3d world type game where like everyone else has a special ability, he'd have his shoulder bash, though he'd still take damage and die, something Wario Land isn't all about. ((As I've been told.))

So, would you really wanna see Wario in a Mario styled platformer?

Well Wario and Barbara are both greedy, egotistical, and mean. However, I don't think Wario knows anything about music.
I don't think anyone expected Wario to know anything about game development but look at how that took off. Wario could probably do anything he puts his mind to as long as money's involved. 'Course I don't think he'd do any music playing himself. He'd probably start his own record label or something.

Do we actually know if Wario can play music or not?

Cause while it's never come up in a Wario game (to my knowledge), there's nothing saying he can't play any instruments either. Unless I missed something in a manual somewhere.

I always saw Wario as the kind of guy that can learn quickly when he actually sets his mind to do something. after all, this is the same guy who managed to start an entire video game company.
So I can imagine him learning Music fairly quickly if he's actually interested in that kind of stuff.
