The Original Character Thread

Last night, I had a dream.

I dreamt that Ashley had turned Blue into a human, kinda like the reverse frog spell, since she's... well, a frog girl.
That's how she looked in my dream:

So it goes like that:
Me and Blue wanted to make a review of Game & Wario, for some reason, we were in Diamond City, and we argued with Ashley about the spell she casted on the world to make her more popular than the others.
As a punishment, she wanted to turn me, Jack, into a frog, but then Blue stepped out and argued with her a bit more, and Ashley said "What if I turn YOU into a frog?"
Blue was a bit confused, but after some words, Ashley turned Blue into a human.
We tried to chase Ashley around and Blue kept complaining that she felt heavy and slow, and that the body wasn't good for movement as stuff.
In the end, we found Ashley, who asked "Have you learned anything?", but neither of us understood what she meant. The rest is not clear but she turned Blue back to her former self and finished saying "I never casted any spell, I was never able to finish it anyway" and we asked the reason why, as she replies, smiling "I was missing frog legs". After saying that, Blue cringes and the dream kinda ends there.

I just love my dreams...

Funky stuff, Jack. Blue better watch those legs. By the way, do you ever play a particular game so much that you start to dream about it?
I used to have the coolest dreams with Wario World. I'd find myself in altered versions of the game worlds (usually far more interesting than the real thing). One time I was in one of the background buildings in Horror Manor that you normally can't enter.

Thanks! I kinda failed a bit on the legs. That's why I cut them off the picture a bit.

I do dream of games sometimes, I dreamt I was in the world of DKC3 once, I don't remember the dream though, but I loved it, it was kinda crazy. :p

Ooh-yeah! I'd love to dream about the Northern Kremispheres in DKC3/DKL3. One of the nicest game worlds to have a holiday, I reckon (without K. Rool's baddies around, of course). It's so inviting and peaceful, with all the boardwalks, lakes, woods and riverbanks, etc. A really beautiful game world.

I actually like Blue better with the blue skin, I think.

And is it just me, or is her hair getting longer? : p

Me too, I prefer our usual Blue! She'll never change, don't worry! :D

Well, her hair does fluxuate in size a bit, although she always had long hair, her ponytail makes it look shorter. In this last picture, she has her hair hanging. :)

I remember the first time I ever saw Blue was back in 2009 or 2010, in some of your early remix videos. She had pigtails then, I think. Wow... We've come a long, long way.

Did you see Blue's Timeline poster? Only in 2016 did she give up the pigtails and stared using a sideways ponytail. In her own channel, she'll be using her hair like this new picture, just hanging naturally.

I don't know if you guys saw this one, but here's Blue in all her different relevant styles over the years:

How long did it take you to do the lineart for that last drawing with MSPaint? I use the pen tool in photoshop, which gives pretty clean lines but is really tedious and time consuming. I've been trying to find an alternative. I don't think I could tolerate MSPaint though, I need layers : <

This one I just shared (the one with the thumbs up pose) is not mine, it's from Hex Scout. Not sure, but he might have used Open Canvas.

The previous one (with the glass in her hand) took me around 2 to 3 hours for the outline and 1 hour to color in and make shadows, roughly.
You can see the progress in the video, too!

Hex Scout lives? I thought he left us (despite the fact he didn't close his account). Or do you have outside contact with him, Jack?

Yes, he still lives, I talk to him on Steam, mostly. I don't think you can close your account though. But yeah, mainly on Steam.

Scary? Not a bit of it! She still looks sweet. This art style reminds me of some of the cartoons I grew up watching in the 90's. Some of the old European and Australian cartoons used to use bizarre, abstract styles and aesthetics. You don't really see much of it anymore, since 3D CGI and basic 2D has saturated the market.
