Oh yeah I almost forgot I had some more thoughts too!
I'm familiar with some WL4 and Shake It cut content, but I didn't know some of the WL3 and Wario World stuff, I liked that Sabaku track. And almost for a second I thought the unused placeholder for A Hidden Figure reappeared as a stamp in WarioWare DIY, but I'm tripping lol, I just thought it looked oddly familiar for some reason despite being cut content
Is this verifiable? I guess it can be implied given he uploads remastered versions on YouTube, but has he ever said this specifically? Source links don't seem to indicate so.
Maybe I'll reach out on Twitter.
I gotta check out his channel, as for the music rights I never knew. On the subject, they pointed out that the Stonecarving City motif is in Brawl's Waluigi Pinball theme too and I can't believe I missed it, it's right there
A lot more has been datamined from that, including unused enemies and objects:
By the way, you just reminded me of that thread about Hall of Hieroglyphs' lyrics possibly being for the tutorial and not just the bad ending. I guess it's still tbd if their absence was an oversight or on purpose
Apparently someone on The Cutting Room Floor site managed to convert certain files from the leak and import them back into the game, revealing a test song and a version of the Hall of Hieroglyphs theme with lyrics that's somewhat different from the ending version.
However, I'm not sure how they tested this, so can someone convert these files and check?
tcrf says: The files for the Hall of Hieroglyphs vocals that play during the worst ending are internally named "TUTORIAL", implying that they were intended to play during the Hall of Hieroglyphs tutorial level itself. For some reason or another, it does not do this in the final game.
I liked finding out about the other game Treasure (Wario World's developer) worked on, Stretch... something? It looked nuts
Lastly some of the theories I've never heard of but I thought were interesting. Indeed Scienstein works for Rudy in DM64 and it is kinda odd if Rudy turned everybody into monsters and Scienstein was left unchanged. But I wouldn't say he's helping Wario acquire the music boxes, he isn't acting any different from the rest of the monsters and generally they hinder Wario's progress (although they can help too)
I do like the WL4 everybody is dead theory and agree with it somewhat. The levels absolutely not, but everything that's directly related to the pyramid tracks; the bosses, Shokora, Golden Diva. Wario and Scienstein are the only mortals to step foot inside and they're outsiders. Golden Diva taking over the pyramid and cursing Shokora makes sense as a lingering attachment and then she only departs after Golden Diva is defeated and the curse is lifted. And this curse could've been placed loooong ago, maybe their lifetime before Wario time even (although, I suppose Shokora must have been alive when she got turned into the cat)
