    The only issue I've noticing in the site was that you couldn't use emojis or embed directly into status updates, you had to copy-paste them.

    Honestly, the older I get, the more I feel the internet isn't for people like me anymore. I just don't find the conversations on most sites interesting, I find most modern forms of media kinda lacking (especially livestreams) and everyone else just feels culturally alien by comparison.

    sad, but i guess that's just aging in our rapidly changing digital culture, as the culture changes, we can get lost behind
    when we were on "sticking out your gyatt for the rizzler" humor from 2023 i was still reeling from goofy ahh quandale dingle "average kid in ohio" devious lick humor from 2021

    I can't tell you much your mother hasn't already told you a million times I'm sure but consider the following
    1. You wouldn't be as good as you are without messing up to feel guilty about it first.
    2. If you find yourself in the logic of comparing yourself to other people that are better than you then it is equally valid and realistic to compare yourself to some drug addicted homeless guy down the street that beats his son.

    Looking at Wario Land 4 sprites makes you realise how much work went into the game's graphics. Even the most basic 'ambience' enemy has like 16 frames of animation...

    Am I the only one who just can't stand modern social media and communities? I just feel like as much as I try, the way they work feels so off to me.

    I especially can't deal with livestreams, the chat environment and setup just feels so bizarre to me.

    I've been in that boat for a long time. I don't have any social media anymore (other than youtube) because I couldn't stand it. At best I just felt like I couldn't actually find any genuine connection or community through social media, at worst I would feel annoyed at how much time I spent scrolling through completely vapid stuff so I just got rid of it all lol

    Do you know of any extensions that would help with the Approval queue? The built-in one is so primitive there's no "Mark all as..." option, nor any way to filter account changes from the 100+ spambot registrations we get weekly.

    Posting online in a public forum is like standing on a soapbox at Speaker's Corner, not talking to your 3 mates in the pub. Gotta expect others to react.
