Ads on Wario Forums

Well, it seems like it might be financially unwise to keep the site here completely ad free, since like with Gaming Reinvented and my other projects, it's costing money for things like hosting and I need a way to make it pay back.

So it's likely Wario Forums will have ads soon. Not many, and none will be visible for logged in users, but enough that hopefully it makes at least a bit more money. Maybe I'll also set up the Amazon Affiliates thing so people are incentivised to buy whatever Wario merchandise actually still exists at this point.

But yeah, thoughts?

I don't mind ads, at all. Even for logged users is fine to me. What ever it takes to support the forums, as long as they don't take a huge place and be too annoying. I like the way the adds are placed in the PokéCommunity, you could take the idea from there, I feel confortable with it.

I'd be perfectly willing to see ads around here, so long as they're not intrusive. It's a very small price to pay to support you and your wonderful sites.

Go for it, I don't mind ads. The only ads I mind are the ones on YouTube that cannot be skipped.

This, I'd be perfectly okay with having them around when logged in, as well.

Given it's just default Adsense stuff, I doubt it'll break anything there. Google has been a bit better than most at avoiding malware ads.

But yeah, adding them now.

Edit: Just added them. Just two ads per page, usually in clearly obvious locations and with fairly simple settings.

My Anti-virus blocks ads on its own and I dunno how to disable it.

I don't mind it but I hope people disable adblock for this site for those who have it.

In my case, I only use an adblock browser on sites where the ads are intrusive. And if the people running those sites don't like it, well, they need to work on ensuring the ads don't intrude. Otherwise, I'm more than happy to take away their revenue.

I kind of don't like ads that track the user's IP and determine their country.

And could you do so the ads are different?
I'm getting 2 copies of the same ad right next to each other at the same time

Sadly, the days of irrelevant, random ads are long gone. All ads basically track now.
