I don't think the rest of the cast are known or cared about that much in Japan, so normally Nintendo will make money on the things people do care about, which somebody said once to me.
We did get Warioware badges without Ashley over here, that's good enough, right?
Well yeah, Nintendo seems to focus more on what sells the most products. (which is strange when you think that Wario sells more then Metroid) I'm not against Ashley at all, but I want to see the others get their shine in the spotlight.
Aww, but that might reduce the Ashley Badges if we get other Warioware characters, oh well. Best of luck to you getting the Wario badges you wanted. I wonder what's next? Probably another Ashley 3ds theme to go alone with the badges, which would rock.
The last real Warioware game was years ago, way before Ashley was even a hint of popular. Back then, Ashley was an unknown small time character. Until I think Smash bros 4 really picked Ashley up.
So, there was no way for Ashley to be praised in Warioware, since last time we saw Warioware was when Ashley was only a small time character. So, what you said doesn't really add up, Boo. Try all you want, say Ashley has no special importance, it's because Ashley was no more than just a character in a video game little people knew about and/or played.
Who knows if Ashley will play a bigger roll or even just show up more, hard to tell since Warioware is just a minigame driven thing. (But that's just a theory, a Kyon theory! Thanks for reading.)
Don't think Ashley's appearances in all of these things mean anything. If that were true then Nikki appearing everywhere would signify her role in a game or so which still hasn't happened. As some people pointed out these are just characters that are popular with the Japanese audience and nothing more.
Minor popularity, probably. Still doesn't change the fact she's been appearing so much lately, I like it. New artwork, a chance in games such as Mario Maker.
I was hyped when I heard Ashley was in SMM, brightened my day it did. I wouldn't make a big deal out of badges if it wasn't for them being new artwork everytime. if they were just existing art I'd be like "Whoa, cool. Check out dem badges" and be on my way. Not to mention she was in Mario Maker, which is a huge deal, out of the rest of the colorful cast Ashley raised to the top.
3ds themes and Smash costume, not to shabby if I say so myself. Ashley just needs to appear in Mario Party and I'm all set.
You know what's a big deal in mario maker, mahjong tile! Since Ashley being in such a game means that anyone who has been in there has a chance of their own spin off. Can't wait to see Mahjong in smash as a playable character.
I said it's amazing how she made it in out of the other Warioware cast, beat out characters such as 9-volt and Mona. You'd think 9-volt would be the one in there, I think he had sprites for a game like Super Mario Bros. But no, maybe it had something to do with Ashley's rising popularity around Japan.
