Another complaint I have is the sound design.
(Without getting into the music itself)
The sound effects aren't really satisfying a lot of the time. Like the sounds for Mayro and Loogy charging up and releasing their hand powers.
Say what you will about the GBA's sound quality, but one thing is certain: The sfx packed a punch!
A lot of the new ones sound weak and flimsy in comparison.
And during some cutscenes it even felt like they forgot to put in sfx at all. Like, sometimes I could've sworn that a character had a specific sound clip in a scene but it's just not there. Like Luigi going "Ooohohoho~" when he gets embarassed.
On an unrelated note, you know what I hate? When there's a shiny, sparkly object in a game that still, for SOME REASON is as dark as everything else in the room:
There are beams of light coming from it. Why isn't it lit up!?
