Yeah, being able to kill enemies by just bumping them around is definitely... forgiving, to say the least.
At least that's a way to defeat enemies when you're small. Otherwise you'd be screwed.
When you stun an enemy normally they don't bounce off, they just sorta... slide away.
And when you bump into them but don't stun them they awkwardly slide with stars above their heads but with the same sprite.
It all kinda feels... flimsy.
In contrast, Wario Land 2's enemy ..."physics" were pretty amazing, considering they were als made on the same black and white gameboy. (Too bad Shake it!'s weren't)
That's one of the reasons why I don't like the game as much as the ones that came after it. It's missing that one degree of additional polish in terms of gameplay mechanics.
