I think alot of people like assume that if you like one thing, you are automatically in opposition to the other.

Like, Im a solar person. I love the daylight, and Im open about it too. Sometimes when I tell people that, they like take a defensive stance on why night is better.
I dont even hate the night time, I actually love it. But I just feel that I prefer being in the daylight.

Pro wrestling is something I know a bit about, and I really enjoy talking with the fans of it, because they are often alot of fun to talk to. I grew up watching WCW with my brothers as a kid, and I remember Monday nights being really special because of it. So sometimes in like online conversations about wrestling, if I playfully say something like "whooo wcw!" or whatever, Ill always have those angry nerds go on about how "poorly the company was run" and how "it was only successful because of the money Ted Turner had" and "they got big on WWE talent", and argue about why WWE is superior and all that.

I love bass guitar, and am a huge bass guitar nerd. If I talk about how much I like bass guitar with my guitarist friend, hell often get grumpy and at some point go on about how guitar is the supreme instrument and junk. He wont say anything like "yeah bass guitar is great. Though its not my favorite I really appreciate it", he just gets kinda grumpy.

I notice how people are more prone to argue about these totally meaningless things as if the entire world is against them for mere preferences over every day things, I really hate how things like "I really like this more than other things" can turn into a war with people. I kinda wish people could just have normal conversations about these things without feeling that they are somehow being "threatened" because you dont hold the same preferences that they do.

i can relate. people get extremely bent out of shape sometimes when you dont agree exactly with their opinions.
for example, im not in to wrestling, or a lot of sports for the matter, but can appreciate the fact that people like that stuff. but some people would literally kill over liking a specific football team. i think theres some people that should know that fricking individuality exists.

and in fact, thats why i ended up here.

This is an extremely sensitive topic for me at the moment, but it really bothers me that some people don't understand people grieving for lost pets.

This isn't directed towards anyone specific, just that why would you not be sad over something that loves you loads and is furry and adorable dying.

Things like these are even sadder when people don't care/show no understanding for your grief. d:(

Ive actually seen people shame others for grieving the loss of an animal friend.

As if a person cannot form an emotional attachment to an animal. Animals can react in grief over the loss of a person, I do not see why a person cannot do the same.

I know that animals arent people and all that, but I still believe that an animal can be considered family. I have a friend, he once made a big deal about the "my dog is better than your honor student" bumper sticker. And while I agree with alot of what he said, raising a child is a bigger deal than a pet, and an honor student is a big accomplishment and all that, I didnt really like how he made the love of a pet sound wrong.

Not that hes actually that way, because he did lose his dog a few years back, and he was actually heart broken. Its just the way he worded his opinion on the bumper sticker.

i tried to watch leafyishere on youtube.
he is the worst youtuber ive ever watched. he is so in your face and annoying, and, getting more specific, he states that cyberbullying is overrated while going around and attacking random people on the internet. i know that he does satire, but even in that regard, he's just extremely obnoxious and unfunny. and his points are just poorly based.

I know this struggle all too well. I just do my best anyway, and if I can convince them to talk to someone more qualified to help than myself, I'll try. Just being there for someone often proves to be pretty helpful, in my experience, but it's never enough.

I hate when people think you are lower than them due to differing opinion.
I don't mean "FF 7 is da bes fukin pleb!!!!!!!!!!" Basically there are people try to help out and be good and that is great but sometimes there are those who think that there way is the right way and everyone is wrong and they do not even realize it.
Now this is a little controversial but i'm sure you know of The Fat Acceptance movement (look it up if your unfamiliar) So basically my friends cousin is a part of it and he told me to take part. You know i do NOT think the fat acceptance movement bad but i do not agree with them. I don't think you should make fun of fat people but real talk, If your legs are touching down to your legs, DO NOT EXPECT ME TO SAY YOU ARE BEUTIFUL.
Again do not discriminate them. But the fat acceptance movement encourages fat people which i think is not the way to go about it. Because of that i get labled as a douche. I mean come on just because my methods are different does not make me a bad guy. They say that i am being close minded when they are the close minded ones.
Sorry if this sound like a rant on TFAM but i needed an example.
