I cant get into Animal Crossing. It feels like a very watered down Harvest Moon to me : p

Ah, funny thing is I'm the opposite! I got very into Animal Crossing, but I couldn't get into Harvest Moon... Mainly because I played the GC Harvest Moon game as a kid, and no matter what I did, my cow that I loved kept dying (even though that part of the game is unavoidable)! It really upset me, and I never played the game again haha.
Seems like the young chicken just couldn't accept the inevitability of death. Harvest Moon teaching the hard truths early on.
Alas, if only reality shared your young self's idealism.
