took the words right from my mouth.Biologically its nonsense, yes. Its about identity, who people want to be and how they want to be treated.
I dont think you are hateful btw, its not really as simple as "just accept it", theres alot more to it than that. Gender itself is a social construct, yeah. But sex is still an important part of a person, and its something we should learn to find was to accept feel happy with, and keep ourselves away from hating ourselves over something you have no control over. I once really hurt myself trying to change things I cant control, so it can really be a dangerous way of thinking, and not something that we should encourage.
if you need me ill be in the unpopular opinion section.I want to give pokemon go another try but I find it so boring.
You should eat even more pizza.I dunno if I should sleep (not even tired) or stay up and find someone or something to chat about.
The issue is that "Let them come to accept themselves" isn't the best solution always. Biologically, psychologically, and all around speaking, the human body does throw people off in ways that, it really does feel like something's off, and it could feel like that for their whole life. Changes like just simply saying they're a different gender barely hurts anyone, and makes them feel more comfortable in their bodies. A god-given right that everyone should have.
Now if we were to grow more nuanced, the argument is more fair. You get people like that guy who ran off to become a 7 year old girl. But those are rare cases, that do harm others. However, a majority of cases only help people come to terms with themselves, exactly as you say.
I just ate a pizza. I'm not eating a 4th one.
I am talking about those who take drastic actions to their bodies in order to change something they cannot control, due to feeling that their body is "wrong", not about those who just want to be addressed as another gender, and/or look a certain way. Either for those who do so to themselves, or those who receive help from the medical community.
I am not making the claim that we need to "ban" these decisions (the second option anyway), but for those who seek to help those find comfort and acceptance in who they are, they should also be free to help those who struggle in these issues, without being attacked and slandered, ect. I can say from experience, it is not damaging to a person (if they are willing to make the changes to their mindset), and can be extremely beneficial.
The concept of Go is great, like you though I'm just not really interested in Pokémon Go... Unless I could get a Lillipup as a starter.Im not all that excited about Pokemon Go : p Feels kinda gimmicky to me, like it would be something that you would enjoy for a little while but never touch again : p
Dunno though, Im not a big major pokemon fan so I may just not get it : p Too many pokemon : /
