When he loses his hat, and then make him jump into lava to damage him a bit. (if there is any)

I like humans in the Mario series and I'm happy we're seeing other humans in the Marioverse, but I wish they'll look more like previous humans, which do a much better job at blending in with the Mario aesthetic.
I hope that they're just placeholders for more cartoony human designs or that there's a explanation as to why they look realistic. But beyond that, i'm super ultra hyped for this game, and I definitely can't wait for it's release. (Which is going to be next holiday this year.)

The thing that bothers me more than the realistic humans right now is that Pauline is supposed to be one of them. But she's not realistic. She has more realistic proportions than Mario but she still has big eyes and a bigger head and everything... and just doesn't look like the others. Is she supposed to be from this world or does she just HAPPEN to look more like them and she's still from the Mushroom Kingdom or....? ...I'm so confused...

Yeah I was surprised to see Pauline's body stretched out to look more realistic. Normally she has Peach's proportions.

Mario characters are constantly changing sizes anyway. Look at how much bigger Captain Toad is than he usually is. Also Pauline is super huge now, much bigger than she normally is.
