Mario characters are constantly changing sizes anyway. Look at how much bigger Captain Toad is than he usually is. Also Pauline is super huge now, much bigger than she normally is.

There is no exact rule of how tall the Mario characters are supposed to be. It differs from game to game, and is mostly caused by the creator's own interpretation.

New artwork for Odyssey has been released.
And it's a interesting one, not only is it in 2D (It's always nice to see new 2D art.) but it's showing a part in Odyssey that we haven't seen. is this possibly a new kingdom? or is it a part of an existing kingdom?
The plot thickens.....

That's cool. I always preferred the hand-drawn 2D artworks to the overly clean but somehow still too detailed 3D renders.

Looks like a new kingdom. The others don't have purple moons in them (they have other colours).

This is quite a surprise. I like this style, it reminds me of Super Mario Bros. 3 or Super Mario World. I can always appreciate the old-school 2-D artworks, like that of Super Mario 3D Land

It could be the same kingdom from the scene from one of trailers in which Mario's a Cheep Cheep swimming around. So we may have seen it before, but only for a second or two.

Someone on Youtube claims to have some songs from the Odyssey soundtrack and one of the songs is called "Underwater Kingdom"
