It's a definently good improvement from Sticker Star but still shouldn't be bought new as if you want companies like Nintendo and Namco to give what you want, You kind of have to show them they are fucking up. Ghostly Adventures utterly failed and now FINALLY Pac-Man is being reverted by the looks of it after all.
I'd say try the game out... used. 3D World also felt about as creative as Galaxy IMO... But not as creative as Sunshine, which is what I really hope they go for at some point. It can have linear level design (Though I'd like it to be open and have branching paths like Kingdom Valley in Sonic 06) but all I really want is Mario's health bar and athletics from SM64-Galaxy back such as the Triple Jump.
And if they make another 2D game...? At least change the gameplay like this instead of the stale NSMB formula:
